Art library search not displaying marketplace purchases

Simply what it says on the tin: when I attempt to use teh search bar in the art library, I get zero results from my two market place purchases. Something as simple as "sea" produces no results, despite there being easily a dozen items starting with or containing that in their name. Is this a bug? I can't imagine this is on purpose; given it would seem the logical place to use a search feature.

Hi, if you could supply the links to the purchases you made I might be able to provide guidance on what to search for.
The items in question: Tropical coast hex tiles - https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/set/12786/tropical-coast-hex-tiles World Map Hex Tile Set - https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/set/22387/world-map-hex-tile-set-9-terrains Both do show up in the library when I access the market place list directly; but the moment I attempt to search, the only thing that displays are "Premium assets".

I was able to find the first via the term "Tropical Coast Hex Tiles" without quotes in any search setting other than "Tokens". (Such as the search setting "Everything"). World Map Hex Tile Set is: "world map hex tile set 9 terrains" (again, without quotes). I have filed a bug report with the Devs to indicate that they can be difficult to find.
Ah; I had the "tokens" drop down selected, or rather; that was the one that was on by default.

Hey Captain Corvid, I’m really sorry about that. There are a number of things that are REALLY unintuitive about the search feature on the Art Library. There is likely a bug in there that we can fix, but to be honest, the entire interface could use a revamp. Were you able to get to what you were looking for eventually? Later this week, I’m going to look into this more and see what we can do in the short term to make this better. In the longer term I hope we can make this entire process better. If you’re willing, I’d love to chat over a video conference. Maybe you can show me exactly what you expected to happen? That could be some great feedback to helping us make the system better for everyone. Here’s a link to my calendar. We can use it to find a time that works for us both. Sometime next week would be great! https://calendly.com/acsearles/searching-art-library

While not the OP, it looks like the easiest short term fix that would have avoided this particular confusion would be having the default filter set to "Everything" instead of "Tokens". I know I have made the same mistake before, and ended up not getting the results I expected due to searching for a map when the filter was still set to the Tokens default. Changing the default to be a general search, while still allowing people to limit the search by applying a more restrictive filter might reduce the potential for confusion.

This would seem the logical choice to me: it would never have occurred to me that the filter would default to anything other than general search. Roll20's UI generally could use an overhaul if I'm being brutally honest: dark mode in particular makes some drop-down menus incredibly hard to read.

I'd be happy to share whatever insights I can vis-a-vis the Roll20 UI, be that via direct message or whatever other form. It's an issue particularly relevant to me as I'm actually legally blind.

Hey Captain Corvid, First, I realized that my other message was with my personal account and not my admin account on Roll20 so my cool "Roll20" badge wasn't there. Sorry about that. Second, I would love to talk with you in real time sometime. Feel free to use that calendar link to schedule a time that works for you. https://calendly.com/acsearles/searching-art-library Thanks again and I hope we can get this working better.
