Hi all! Are you new to 5e? TTRPG in general? Do you have a friend who you’ve been trying to strongarm into the game? Or are you an old hat who can’t commit to a weekly campaign but still wants to play where you can? Maybe you want to test out a character you don’t have a campaign for yet? My games: I’m looking to run lower level Oneshots, ‘Session Zeroes’, or possible mini arcs. Settings and tone to be determined by the interest of players. Back when I was a brand new player, I found the established worlds in 5e and the weight of lore a little intimidating. So especially with newer people I’d like to offer homebrew, on a scale that lets you focus on your character and the game, not a huge setting. But with the right group, or request I’m obviously very happy to go to WOTC/module content. In the past I’ve dm’d: Urban Fantasy Gothic Horror/Mystery Low Magic Fantasy etc Me as a DM: I started Dming in 2020, and that campaign is still going strong! Style wise, I lean towards RP, and like to encourage interaction between the PCs. I do mostly theatre of the mind, with battlemats only coming out for major combats. My highest priority is my players feeling safe and having a good time. I will happily let a party spend three hours doing drinking contests in the tavern if that’s what they want. I’m not a professional voice actor or comedian, and likely neither are my players. We’re going to say um a lot, stumble over words, or snort when we laugh. And I want to run a space where that’s okay. Heck, I’ll allow a lot of rule fudging if it gives someone joy and doesn’t break the game. You wanna throw in some UA or homebrew on a case by case basis? Sure, why not. The only thing there will be no tolerance for is bullying, harassment, or hateful speech directed at other players or myself. The nitty gritty: Games will be for 4-6 players at a time They will last between 3-4 hours Games will be run via Roll20, and either Discord or Zoom This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $15 per player per session via paypal. Tips welcome! I also love character creation and backstory, so if you want a little creative input, I’m open to booking one hour slots for that as well.
