Game Won't Load

Yesterday the 18th around 9 AM PDT I could not load any games. Luckily I was on Discord with the rest of my players and found they could not get games to load either. Not just our scheduled game but any games! These players are located in New York, Canada, Oregon, Washington, The Netherlands and West Germany. None of them could get any games to load on Roll20 for at least 15 minutes. Finally the games loaded and we were able to play (though with a lot of lag). If we had not been on Discord and knew the other players were having the same issues I would have had to call the game. Dear Roll20, this is unacceptable! This incident, along with many others, is giving up pause and pondering a switch to another service. Please get your act together.

Hey Keeper of Secrets, You're right. Yesterday, we had a brief downtime that was related to a fix that we had to push out quickly. Because of that the VTT would not load for about 10 mins. This happened right about the time you are mentioning and you were negatively affected by it. I'm sorry this impacted your game time. I know that time is precious. It's hard to get a group of people all together at the same time from all over the world only to have it interrupted by service down time. Our goal is to keep our servers up and running at least 99.9% of the time. Luckily, we're still within that window for this week, but that doesn't change the fact that it impacted you, your friends, and your game time. I'd love to chat directly with you about this issue, other issues you've seen, systemic problems you've noticed, and your general feedback for Roll20. If you're interested, here's a link to my calendar where you can find and schedule a time with me to talk. https://calendly.com/acsearles/performance-issues Thank you for keeping us accountable and helping us improve.
