Character control and editing

Hi there, I am running a campaign and have recently added a new person to the campaign. I have created a character sheet in the campaign for them, but I cannot make it so that they can control and edit the char sheet exclusively, I can only set it to the people who were previously in the campaign and not exclusively the new player. I know that in previous iterations of the app I could do it, but since i set up the campaign originally, there have been updates to the roll20 app and now I'm not sure how to do it. Any help would be much appreciated!

New players must enter the campaign before you can assign them control of assets. Going to the campaign details page is not sufficient.

He is currently in the campaign, but i still cannot assign it to him... He has joined the campaign and launched it, yet i still have no way to do it. (He has also refreshed after joining and left and rejoined etc...)
