Greetings fellow Adventurers and Dungeon Masters, I am Heir of Solaire, at your service. I am in the market of joining a game running on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday that runs from whereabouts 4:00 PM PST to roughly 3-4 hours later. I am really only interested in traditional or gritty fantasy settings such as the Forgotten Realms, Grimhollow, and the likes. I am not interested in modern settings nor futuristic settings, though I could get behind Steampunk, Victorian, and settings more based in antiquity such as Roman like settings. I can jive with harsher variations of these settings that might kick me down and punish me for things, as long as it isn't too egregious. Beyond the setting, what I really want is freedom to interact with the world. Some railroading is unavoidable, otherwise things slow to a crawl and don't progress; I fully recognize that. To clarify a little, I do not desire freedom so that I can murder-hobo. I only enjoy having freedom so that I can interact with the world the way that I want. For example, there should be opportunities to talk our way out of things or decide for ourselves what we do. However, I would prefer the least amount of railroading possible. Long, drawn out character arcs are not a necessity, but always nice to have the option to explore over a game. I can play pretty much any character, any alignment, and any role within a group. I certainly have my strong suits, such as silver tongued, intellectual characters. But I in no way need to play that to have fun nor play well. My one major preference is to not start at level 1. I can manage, it just isn't as preferable for me as I do enjoy having the flavor of my subclass right out the gate. It just feels more natural to me personally.
