Hey everyone, I know this might sound weird but I've always to try DnD as a drunken monk but not really as the already existing 5e monk subclass... I don't know if I could maybe have some help from experienced DnD Dungeon Master but if I could that would be great. My first thought of playing a drunken monk was that he was always carrying a "special" flask that the monk could use as a bonus action (once per fight, maybe more after some lvls) and by rolling a d6, it would gives the monk specific buffs. EG; rolling a 1 as a lvl 1 drunken monk would just make his attack modifier -1 or -2 for example (which would be replaces by a benefit later on) but other numbers would be like adding a little bit of fire damage to his unarmed attack, thunder damage, cold damage, poison breath (like the monk can use his bonus action to burp in front of him doing a small cone attack) etc ... those would be representing the alcohol the monk is drinking. I wont ask to go at a higher level since I am mostly trying to find a Oneshot to see if I can/like roleplay but if I can have some help for this, it would be nice.
