Webcam not working since update

Hi all, hope this is not a double post, me and our group are experiencing webcam and performance issues since Roll20 forced us to use the new audio/video plug in. We played since circa 2020 and never experienced any big issues, since february (could be the wrong month) we are forced to use google meet for audio video. We have fairly new pc's, good internet connections and nothing changed really. Are we the only ones having this? It seems strange to me since we had no problems with the site and this convinced us to pay the Pro subscription for a long time. We already opened a ticket weeks ago and sent our logs to the site staff. Thank you answering this. D.

Hi TheClouD17, I take it you are using the new Integrated Voice and Video? Have you tried to use the Legacy WebRTC? Does it still work for you?

Hi, Thank you for your reply Legacy does not work anymore despite having the option. Meet while using roll20 maps works just fine, we deactivate all audio/video flows on the site to drastically reduce performance/internet issues.

Hi TheClouD17! No audio/video issues in our group. Have you gone through the troubleshooting steps here ?
Yes, the only test is the use of a similar service like https://whereby.com/ , I'm going to propose a test to my friends in the next few days. Just for info, do you know if the legacy audio video system was using peer to peer connection like the old one? It's like suddenly the requirements "for something" spiked up since the new audio video was integrated. When it went available for what I think was a community/beta test we tried it, nothing worked and went back to the legacy system. Then we were forced to use it. It's frustrating really

It is peer-to-peer. The page I linked mentions this near the beginning. When you said "yes" at the beginning of your response, did you mean that you had gone through all of the items listed on the page? Whereby.com is listed nowhere. (and you are never going to get similar performance to a site whose entire service is dedicated to videoconferencing) For what it's worth, the legacy system was near-unusable for many users and limped along for years. By most reports the new system is far more robust and trouble free. Your experience may differ, of course , but even a cursory glance at the forum reports during the tenure of each system bears this out (as does my own experience, for what that's worth.) The old system was prone to frequent drops, especially whenever anyone joined the connection, and establishing a full gamut of players who could both see and hear all others was compared to the game"whack-a-mole". Re-reading this, I think my tone might come off as combative. That's not my intention, so I apologize if it sounds that way. My intent is to help solve problems. If you and your group have methodically gone through the diagnostic steps and tips on the page I linked and are still having basic connection problems, your best bet is to utilize the help of the dev team: Filing a Bug Report If none of the above helped to resolve your issues, please contact our customer support here being sure to include information on the steps you have taken thus far so we can pick right back up with you! Further, please provide the following information as well Operating System Browser and Version Any VPNs Currently Enabled Description of the Issue WebRTC Debug Log (Click the "Download WebRTC Debug Log" button under the Audio and Video section of the My Settings tab) Your average Download and Upload speeds from the above Bandwidth Test .
Same here on W11 systems with current chrome browser, since the update a few month ago WebRTC stopped working and we switched to the new audio system. For the first one/two minutes it is working fine and than the trouble begins on all 5 users. Everyone gets from everyone random disconnect messages. and the audio to video sync is off by 1-2 seconds.... reconnect doesn't help. performance is not a problem on both sides, our connection while running with the issues: PING 9 ms JITTER 4 ms DOWNLOAD 357.2 Mbps UPLOAD 18.2 Mbps Browser: Chrome Version 114.0.5735.134 (Offizieller Build) (64-Bit)

Hi Patrick! Did you and your players fill out a bug report like in the above post?
We did the bug report, last answer on e-mail was this Thank you for sending this our way! We have gone ahead and submitted a bug ticket internally to be prioritized. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide an ETA for when this will be addressed. Don't know if you need this too, but number was 122295. @Patrick - that's exactly what happen to us since february circa
Just an update we used https://whereby.com/ and no problem were experienced. We played again and really couldn't use the roll20 audio/video system. We have definitely ran out of patience and are trying to understand which platform to choose. If anybody have any suggestions please be my guest, but seriously I don't understand why these new problems since the update at the beginning of the year are not being addressed.
