OK, so here's the deal... Two others and myself are looking to put
a group of 5 people together (1 gm, 4 players) to run a multitude
of different games, each with it's own mini campaign. Each game would be
5-7 sessions in length, with each session ranging from 3-4 hours. It looks like Friday nights, 8pmish EDT is looking to be a fairly common game time, but that has not been officially set in stone yet (other game times might be Sat or Sun on either day or eve). Once
we finish up the mini campaign we offer up our thoughts on the game,
what we liked or did not like and so forth, then move onto a new game.
The basic goal here is to try out a variety of games, settings, and
mechanics. I try and find reviews, videos, podcasts, or anything I can
on games before spending my hard earned money on something I will not
like, and I think this would be a great way to offer my help to others
who do the same. Also, it should be noted, these sessions
will be recorded and turned into a YouTube series, basically as a way for
people to check out others running and playing said games. I have
several years of film editing and software use under my belt and once we
get everything figured out and set, I can produce nice quality vids. I
have heard things about Twitch TV also, but I have not looked into that
or really even know how it works, so I doubt we will touch on that right
away, but I guess it could be an option in the future. Roll20 has been pressing that as of late, and I would like to help support that endeavor. As you probably discern, these games would require a mic and cam for video and audio feeds. As
I said, the idea is to 1) try out and play a multitude of games, 2)
give people something fun and informative to watch, and 3) just have
fun. Some games that we have lined up include: - ICONS Super Powered Roleplaying (uses a FATE system) - d6 Space - CoC 7th Edition (when released) - And whatever else we find interesting or comes out way. We are also considering some miniature based games. If you are interested, let me know via a PM and we can talk further about it. This is not a first come first serve scenario, nor is it a way to become Youtube famous or anything along those lines. I ask that if you do indeed reply to this inquiry, then first make sure that you can commit yourself to at least one mini campaign (5-7 weekly sessions). While this is a fun project among friends, I do want to ensure it is done well also. I am hesitant that potential players will disappear mid campaign on us. I ask that you are responsible, mature, and open minded about the games being played. So, once again, if you are interested, PM me and let me know. Tell me a bit about yourself and why you would like to be a part of this.
