party resource

I did some quick googling and couldn't find a clear answer on this. Sorry if it's obvious. What I'm looking for is a way to display a counter that anyone in the game can manipulate (i.e., add or subtract). The immediate use will be for Glory for Wrath and Glory, I think, but it's not that uncommon to have shared resources in a system. For individual resources (bennies, hero points, etc.) I usually deal out cards from a custom deck. The best solution I saw online was to create a token and let people manipulate one of the bubbles and resource bars. That's not bad, but I was hoping for something more visually immediate, ideally displaying a number. Thanks!

Hi Nicholas! Make sure that token is representing a character they all share, rather than just a generic token they all have permissions to. Also that the value they are changing is a character sheet value that the bar is linked to. That way the token will stay updated no matter what map it is on. As for display, y ou could have a macro that whispers the value to them in chat whenever they click on a button. Roll20 doesn't really have a continuously updating display feature that I can think of, without dipping into mod scripts.

Ideally I'm looking for something that is far more prominent, like 13th Age's Escalation Die. It's certainly not terrible, but it's not ideal for these games.

It will create a die. 3) Right click on the die and change its side via "Multisided" -> "Choose side" I use this for my Munchkin games which require a counter to keep track of the player's level.

You could also use the Turn Order panel for this, if you're not (or even if you are) already using it otherwise. Players can change the "initiative" number in the Turn Order. This could prove more visually immediate & constant than using Token Bars.

Just to throw another idea out there and add to the confusion.... Similar to the "drag out a die" solution, you could make a rollable table token if you have some nice number token images. Then you create a character (make sure all players have edit access) and assign the token to that sheet. Now everyone should be able to right click the token and choose a side from the multi-sided menu option. If you have different colors of number tokens, then you could do this in different colors and name the sheet/token to specific things you will track. Then you can have color themes for the different resources. While I haven't done this specific thing with them, I have gotten a fair bit of use from the Heroic Icon packs. I have the red/gold and black/silver packs: https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/publisher/292/heroic-roleplaying-press You could also just make your own if you are comfortable doing so. Then you can choose how simple or fancy you want them to be.
The rollable table was my initial idea, but I had initially messed it up. Got it working! And I was able to assign it to a character and everything. Thanks so much.
