Dice Rolls - Come in Three's

Heyo everyone just wanted to post this because it amused me and I honestly forgot up until this point. These pictures are from a solo game I ran right when the new quantum roll came out. The second set of three rolls came around a hour or so after the first one. Would have been funnier if it had been three 20's but what can you do.

The odds of this are 1 in 8000. Not really that unlikely when there are thousands of people playing.

The odds of each dice roll are independent of all other rolls. there is a 5% chance to roll any number on a D20. if you roll "1" 1,000 times the odds of the next roll being 1 is 5%. dice do not have memory. the idea that they do is called the Monte Carlo Fallacy, where people believe that a roll is "due". There are calculable odds for series of dice, for instance the odds of a character with 6 18s is 1:101,559,956,668,416.

Never said it was likely or unlikely it was just funny that three 1's and three 18's happened in a row. My player asked if we had to use the new Quantum rolls as a joke after that. ;)
