I first ran my Bushido campaign back in the 80's, but then had a 30+ year break from the hobby. I restarted my AD&D campaign at the start of lockdown, and have been running a weekly adventure ever since. I have now dusted off my Bushido material, and am looking for players to join a new campaign. For those who haven't come across it before, Bushido is a role-playing game set in Feudal Japan,
originally designed by Robert N. Charrette and Paul R. Hume and published by
Fantasy Games Unlimited. The setting for the game is a land called Nippon, and
characters adventure in this heroic, mythic, and fantastic analogue of Japan's
past. My campaign is set in the village of Hanamishasu on the isle of Kyushu, and the players will fill the roles of peasants who have just finished a year serving in the garrison of their daimyo, and have been released back to their homes. Sadly, as younger children there is little space for them in the village, and they will have to seek opportunities elsewhere. Players will take the role of a bushi, budoka, yakuza, gakusho, or shugenja - warrior, martial artist, gangster, priest, or magician. I will use Roll20 for the battleboard and to display maps and information, and Discord for the voice channel. I would like to run it fortnightly to begin with, possibly weekly later on, for three hours between 6pm and 11pm UK time. If interested, please let me know.
