Greetings, programs. I’m a lifelong DM (forever?) in the Pacific Time Zone who has
had a long background in countless face-to-face campaigns and a couple or three
decent campaigns on Roll20 looking to get a new one going for the summer. I don’t
so much jump into world-saving, Fellowship of the Ring epic questing. I’m more of
an old schooler who indulges these days in simple pulp influences where the characters
are looking either for hard fought riches, thrills, or both. But characters will feel the lingering effects of past wars and bad times as they enjoy the current Rennaissance the Kingdom is experiencing. At low level the players
will explore their characters while they adventure, and through hooks and
emergent gameplay eventually get into higher endeavors (perhaps that epic world
saving questing stuff mentioned previously). My campaigns may vary from vanilla
D&D, to high fantasy, to low fantasy, to grim and gritty. The style often
changing from session to session. But it’s really all a backdrop for characters
to develop. I use the same homebrew world I started as a kid, so I am of course
well versed in the setting. Please respond with a PM. First take a look at my profile
for much more info about me, and maybe give me at least a third of the level of
info I present of myself there about yourself. I really won’t respond easily to
something hollow such as “hey, I’m interested in your game. Thanks much.” If actually
interested tell me a bit about yourself, time zone and age range, your
experience or lack thereof with gaming, and maybe what you like or don’t like
about past game experiences. Hell, if you want tell me your life story that’s fine.
But there is so much flaking from the forums that I really want to vet anybody
interested even before a Discord voice chat. Nothing disrespectful, but I hate
wasted time and coming from a high-end financial management background I hate all
waste, time as well as money. I want to know you a bit, and I hope you want to know
me a bit, before that first game. In other words, it might be a week or two
before an actual voice chat depending on many factors. Hey, it’s a free campaign. I will never charge
for gaming. So, some patience and expectation management would be greatly appreciated.
We will all be in it together. That said, I know there are a lot of DM’s looking for
players on the forums right now that you might want to impulse- jump into. But
if you want in on a from-scratch campaign starting at level 1, and my verbiage
on my profile appeals to you, let’s talk and maybe get together to forge some
edge of your seat Dungeons and Dragons excitement!
