QUICK EDIT: V;tR is game. Sorry for not putting it in title. Little on me, I'm somewhat new to GM'ing, I've only done one chronicle that started Jan. 02, and has run every week except one for nine months. The current chronicle I'm in is having scheduling conflicts often and I'm looking to start another. I have nearly every book from the Vampire line of NWoD. I also have hard copies of Mage, Hunter, Werewolf, Changing breeds, and Psychics. These books where a nice pick up for when I brought various supernaturals into the vampire story. The thing I really like about NWoD and RPG'ing in general is story making, content generation, and character development. More detailed on character development, I like how characters may, or may not, change over time based on various stresses and environments. How their goals, personality, and behaviors change over the course of a chronicle, are a biggie to me One thing that does not interest me, is the the sole seeking of experience or dots. How an individual or group grows in combat or ability isnt big on my radar. My story telling reflects this. I try to incorporate a lot of personal conflict and drama, but not too many bowling pins for hte players to mindlessly knock over. So, one thing we've done in my current chronicle is player made content. Players write stories of various length involving their character and support NPCs that they create. They're not allowed to bring in NPCs I've made and function as hard plot devices. They also can't make hard character gains in these stories. IE: you cant write a narrative about your character robbing a bank and the next game expect 4 dots in resources. Now, if you wrote 20 pages of meaningful content, I may give you some, and you'll also get all the drawback, in game, of robbing a bank (being wanted, cops looking for you, elders gunning for oyu making waves, whatever...) Some xp is given for this. YOU are giving me content to bring into the main chronicle. Player made player hooks. The purpose of the chronicle is character development. The setting is Columbus Ohio. XP will be given to the entire party, not person by person. If the STORY is a good story, players choices really reflect on character drama, more xp will be given. I would guess most games there will be 1-3 xp given. The length of the chronicle is open ended. I'm trying to follow the "life" of the characters and how they evolve and progress in their own little world. Being on time and available is a big thing for me. I can get pretty busy with work and life in general, but whatever day we agree to meet I will pretty much always get it off. I understand life happens and people cant make games, no issue at all. But if you can make one game a month, its hard to maintain a logical story with others who are always on. If you have interest in something like this, let me know. I don't know that I'm doing it yet. Just looking to see if any players out there are wanting to do this. I wrote this at work in between busy times, sorry if its bad grammar and what not.
