Introduction We are a group of friends who have been getting together on Discord to play DND. Campaign 1 - Icleros the Rise of the Dragon Lords, is a campaign that has been going on since 2019 and has been going strong. Campaign 2 - The Disturbance of Pershein, is a more recently started campaign that we are playing to allow breaks for the DM of Campaign 1. The general set-up being that we will play an arc of one campaign before jumping to the other so that both DMs have more time for prepping larger plans. Campaign 1 - Icleros: Rise of the Dragon Lords Plot: (DISCLAIMER: In this campaign, we use the Eberron maps, but the DMs own lore. If you can not accept that the lore of Eberron is not used but its maps are then this is not the game for you.) In The world of Icleros, there was a great Calamity that was caused by five chromatic dragon lords of old. Reality sundered and portals between the realms all began opening up across the world. However, the battle was focused on one location. This location would later be known as The Mournlands, a horrifically scarred land that almost no one really ventures into. Mysteriously, the five dragon lords are back and seemingly seeking to cause destruction all over again. And through a BOAT LOAD of shenanigans the party is now involved and seeking to put a stop to them. Current Task/BS the Party got themselves into: After saving one of the party's older brothers, the group arrives back at the ship The Vannoc. Edmund, returns with his wounded brother back to his family home and plans to figure out some family issues there. The rest of the party, are to continue their tasks. The party, Members of the Ironglades: Order of the Burning Rose, were tasked by King Belgrim of Thrane to venture to the Ironroot Mountains and seek out the Stone Giants there to help rebuild a massive ancient bridge their ancestors built long ago. Along the path to this goal, the party must continue sailing along the Cyre River to Karrlakton. The party knows that Karrlakton is currently under attack by Aberrations. They also know that there are multiple grumpy dragons that are waiting for them there. One being a dragon, Venomous, that was promised they would be there over a week ago. Party got side tracked and the party have yet to check in on this particular dragon since. The second dragon that they are waiting for is the Lord of the Blue Dragons himself Fremmir the Nocturnal, and the Calm. The party has made a deal with this dragon lord who shows a unique interest in them. Though, Fremmir does seem to come as well with a mate, an ancient blue dragoness named Ashaklal, The Raging Storm. A much more formidable duo compared to Venomous, though they seem the calmer of the pair. What will happen along the sailing trip to Karrlakton, and within the city itself? Will you be able to help our party of misfits prevent a second calamity? Party: Party lvl - 14 Henrik Bludforge - College of Lore Bard - Dwarf Edmund Ifnir (Character On Break/Will Return) - Eldritch Knight Fighter/War Mage Wizard - Human TBA (Edmund’s side character) - Thief rogue Parodia - Way of the Astral Self Monk - Cactus man TBA - Arcane Archer Fighter Where you come in: You, and other recruits will be coming in as fellow Ironglades members. While you aren’t normally members of The Burning Rose branch, given it’s relatively recent forming. However, Guild Master Theodorick and Lady Adara (ancient founders of the guild who still run it) have tasked you with aiding The Burning Rose as their task is one sent by the gods themselves. No matter the race or class you pick, a few things will have been happening with your character. 1. You have been traveling a while doing odd jobs for the guild (maybe farthing your own goal). 2. You will have been attacked and almost killed by an Abishai. It’s quite possible your former party was killed by them and you were the last survivor. 3. Due to your being away from the guild on odd jobs, and recovery from the Abishai attacks, you only recently learned of the guild’s almost total annihilation at the hands of a demon lord. Thankfully, The Burning Rose saved it, though most of your former associates in the guild are all dead and the guild is trying to rebuild now. Campaign 2 - The Disturbance of Pershein Plot: In the empirical continent of Pershein many oddities have started occurring. People have been going missing only to return weeks later with little memory of where they’ve been or what has happened to them. Monstrous races have been seen working with beasts and humanoids alike to make seemingly harmonious living spaces. Portals opening up to different planes. Most notably one to a thing called the Storm of Souls. The party had been traveling to a lumber mill to find out what happened to a guildmaster for the town Filaphi. On the way they’ve encountered necromantic trees, giant undead hands, and the general unease of something following them. Currently the party has been inside the necromantic tree which has led to an interesting quarry of plane-hopping and possibly time travel. Note: As a DM I try to mold my world around my players. Give me backstories, give me reasons as to what makes your character tick and I will wrap the world around your character and infuse them as best I can. Party: Party lvl - 11 Tzipora Lucinia - Order of Scribe Wizard - Aasimar Sledge Daydark - Path of the Berzerker Barbarian/Phantom Rogue 4 Tyreus Ebrec - Fighter 2, Oath of Vengeance Paladin 8, Hexblade Warlock 1 Twinklehog -Twilight Domain Cleric 11 Where you come in : All published material for D&D 5e is allowed. We can talk about a backstory and where your character will best fit in to where the party is. C2 is a bit more chaotic in terms of storytelling but not less of a good time. Brief Other Things to Know About the Group/Rules/Requests You can double up on classes, just do not double up on subclasses for C1, C2 I’ll take any class/subclass of published material for 5e. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly group. ANY hate towards this group will result in an instant removal from the group and ban. We are noob friendly Please come with decent quality connection, mic and camera. We tend to proffer if you can use your camera but understand if there are bad moments where you need it off for a bit due to IRL stuff. If you are a rules lawyer, this is not the game for you. Rule of cool wins out, with mild fact checking. Application The following are a few general questions for us to be able to get to know you a little better and see if you are a good fit for our campaign, as well as help us narrow our options. Please feel free to copy paste these questions into your reply and answer them. Thank you very much. 1. First off, please introduce yourself. Please include what we are to call you, pronouns, age, and anything else you are willing to share about yourself in relevance pertaining to DND. 2. What's your preferred % of split interactions? Roleplay, Exploration, Combat. 3. Please share a brief story you loved from one of your previous campaigns. Please try to avoid super long tales with long explanations, as those are more fun to be shared post game as we get to learn more about one another during game. If you don’t have a campaign you were a part of, or are a DND noob, please share with us a fantasy story you REALLY enjoyed! 4. Roleplay Experiment: Your character needs a book in the possession of a local baron in order to save the life of a dear friend, and you need it by the end of tomorrow. How do you get that book within the two day period? 5. Is there anything you DO NOT want to see in your DND games? Any hard no’s in your games that may bring up traumas? (Example: Particular brutal descriptions, NPCs experiencing DV) **If this is something you would rather wait to share, that can be discussed at the second part of the application process** 6. Why do you play D&D? What do you enjoy the most? 7. Have you ever had a problem with another player? How did you handle it? 8. How would you handle a situation where the DM makes a ruling you disagree with in the moment? 9. What do YOU want to get out of this DND game? Entertainment, work through an issue, friendship, a feeling of being a hero, lots of rp opportunities, etc. Don’t be afraid to elaborate.
