Running multiple characters - showing correct actor in the Chat?

I'm in a game where I am controlling two characters (D&D 5E character sheet).  When I roll from either sheet, the chat shows my name / nickname.  Usually, I have set my name to one of the characters.  (Yes, I am aware that I can change the "chat as" dropdown, but I usually don't remember.) Is there a setting that shows the name on the sheet I am using instead?  I'm pretty sure the DM has a setting like this, since they show the attacks / saves from the sheet they are using.

The name of the attacking character appears (in small print) under the name of the attack itself. This is the same for DMs.

AFAIK, changing the "Speaking as" option is the only way I know to change that name in chat. Be aware that if your display name is the same as the name on your sheet, it will appear twice in the drop down.
Thanks.  I'm so used to seeing "my" name in bold as the person who did the role that I completely missed the small print of the name from the character sheet.
