prepare spells in character sheet

I've seen this was already topic to many threads here in the forum, but I could only find like 5 year old posts, so some things have changed since then. I am new to DnD 5e, but i know some classes have to prepare spells to be able to use them. So what is the correct way to handle spell preparation in the standard roll20 dnd 5e character sheet? I've seen, that you could mark spells with a small point to their left on the "spells" sheet, and i thought that could be to mark the prepared ones, but there seems to be no "intelligence" working in the background, to make only the prepared spells castable at the character sheet main page. How do the experienced Roll20 / DND-players of you handle the topic of spell preparation? Thanks in advance.

I red dot spells that are prepared.  Regarding the attacks, I switch all spells except ones that actually require attack rolls to spellcard. If there are non-damage rolls to make I put them into the spellcard.  As for presentation, I use a macro that gives me a Chat Menu that filters out spells which are not red dotted.
