REVISED Thursday November 15, 2018 The biggest hurdle in trying to recruit Doom is that he is not particularly pleased that his son decide to become a pastry chef instead of helping his family conquer the world. Paladin tells Sophita to remind Supremacy and his father that it is in their best interested to stop this contagious spell before it ensnared Doom himself. She promises that she will but her boyfriend is very stubborn and does not know if it will do any good. In the meantime she will try to reach Heliopolis, the dimension the Egyptian Gods have retreated to, in order to consort with Bast. Game Resumes: 3AM (Countdown Clock 27:46) Paladin continues to monitor the EMS system. Kismet, Network, and Revenant have finishing investigating the Weeks house and decide to go and get some rest. Kismet heads to the Bunker. I assume Revenant and Network head back to the Bunker as well. Big Tuna heads to his apartment where he falls into a deep sleep [his player is missing] Meanwhile across town (from Queens to Brooklyn) Marvel Girl comes to the base and breezes in like she owned the place surprising Barbra Satin (Babes) while she was doing maintenance on one of more of the motor pool vehicles. Babes was working in the nude. Embarrassed Babes steps behind an open car door shielding herself from MG's curious gaze. Babes sputters that late at night when she is all alone she likes to be 'comfortable' when she tinkers with the cars. Marvel Girl asks where Paladin is and Babes directs her to the basement portion of the base. 7AM (Countdown Clock 23:46) Kismet, Network, and Revenant wake up and prepare to go to St. John's hospital wanting to be there at 8AM. Kismet has the guys load Constable's Psychic Defibrillator into one of the vans. Kismet is taking no chances, she wants to be able to pierce the chaos swarming in Elliot Weeks mind. Babes, properly dressed this time, has prepared the van for weather emergencies in case the weather goes to hell. She makes sure that there are road flares, jumper cables, extra blankets, bottled water, and nutrition bars on board. She is slighting embarrassed at her over preparation when she learns they are only going as far as Rockaway Beach to St. John's Hospital. [Section of Rockaway Beach of clothing optional but as cold as it currently is those areas are closed.] 8AM (Countdown Clock 22:46) Kismet, Network, and Revenant head to the hospital to see Edmund Dietrich (chief administrator) who befriended Kismet during Operation Helping Hands. (Resume Here) Kismet wants to see Elliot Weeks, she knows he is connected to DEMON and has seen the book (Livre d'Eibon). They need to book to avoid the Curse of Oblivion and find a way to undo what the Exodus wrought. Kismet knows that Weeks is a raving paranoid that will attack anyone who approaches him. Doctor Dietrich lets her know that Weeks is kept moderately to heavily sedated. When he isn't sedated he is heavily restrained. Dietrich and an orderly escort the Brigade trio to the patient. Elliot is in white hospital clothes in a white padded room currently restrained to a hospital bed. Kismet and Network set up the Psychic Defibrillator and she prepares to enter Elliot's mind. Doing a deep probe in order to find the memory of where he saw the book, peeling away the layers of madness, she suffers mental trauma from the journey. (Game Effects she takes a one EGO transformation in her descent into madness, she has 20 EGO so there are 39 points to go.) While Kismet is dealing with the Elliot's shattered psyche Revenant and Network go to the cafe for donuts. They discover that of the 30 long term care units 20 of them are occupied. Many of them were filled in the same time frame that Elliot Weeks became a patient here. She finds a memory of the building where he saw the book last. Kismet is able to make out the plaque on the door; 'Smiley and Sons Circus Museum'. After getting the information about the book's location she wants to try to help Elliot regain his sanity. In order to protect her own sanity she takes an extra half hour in preparation for the journey of healing. She also has Network use his ability to boost the power of machines (Red Line) to amplify the power of the Defibrillator the she plunges back into Elliot's mind. She is able to guide him onto a path where he might eventually be able to heal. Doctor Dietrich is very encouraged by the change in Elliot's demeanor, Elliot is much calmer than he was. Kismet sees several spirits congregating around one of the other occupied mental health rooms. The room belongs to one Alec McPherson. By listening to the wails of the spirits she discovers that McPherson was a DEMON agent who was at least partially for the torturous death of each of the haunts. Kismet makes it known to the spirits that she can see (and hear) them. They start to swarm her. Some want her to kill McPherson so he can face his eternal judgment, others want her to carry messages to family and friends left behind, others still want her to lead the police to where their undiscovered remains are. With the swarm of spirits harassing her she finds it hard to concentrate and even clearly see through their spectral bodies. She does her best to get the ghosts to listen to reason, to form in a line where each of their needs can be addressed. Kismet also tells Alec McPherson that she sees dead people, letting him know that the vengeful spirits have an ally in the land of the living. It has its desired effect, the mad DEMON member has his terror increased ten-fold. 10AM (Countdown Clock 20:46) Kismet, Network, and Revenant are finished at the hospital. 10AM (Countdown Clock 20:46) A visitor arrives at the base. Marvel Girl answers the door and the exchange is somewhat awkward. The dark skinned woman at the door eventually identifies herself as Khata, priestess of Bast. Marvel Girl does verbal sparring with Khata until Paladin rushes to the door to rescue the initial contacts with a potential ally. According to Khata Ra has forbidden Bast form directly intervening but she will be watching and will help if it is direly needed. Paladin nudges for more details or some idea on how she will help but Khata simply says that if the goddess lends aid it will be obvious but Khata says if the goddess performs a miracle on their behalf there will be a price to be paid. The goddess will want a temple in her honor to be built near to where the Brooklyn Brigade's headquarters. If the goddess intervenes Khata will return and provide the plans for the temple. With that she left. Revision Begins: Before heading off to the Smily and Sons Circus Museum Kismet calls the Brooklyn Brigade's police contact; Lt. Joe Nardini of Special Crimes (organized crime division). She gives Nardini a thumbdrive containing the compiled information that she gleaned from the ghosts that haunt Alec McPherson. On the thumbdrive is a spreadsheet and a readme text file. The beginning of the spreadsheet is a message for the police: 'Now you'll say how did I get this information? The answer is that I am psychic. Check these leads and if they don't pan out then I am a fraud too but if they do pan out I don't need to be psychic to know this data will create an absolute mess. You're welcome.' The rest of the spreadsheet contains more than just the ghost's names. It also contains information to their remains and the location of evidence of their murders. The time and date of their deaths and other critical information. This evidence will link them to the Alec McPherson and through him to DEMON. Kismet will mention that McPherson is now 'nuttier than a fruitcake'. She also details where he is and that many others came in at the same time with similar symptoms. She posits that other care centers will have similar events and that they can be linked as acquaintances. Additionally she will posits that there is a very dangerous common event of trauma. She suggests that said trauma was reading from The Book. Kismet will also include a brief summary of DEMON, a cult that knows actual magic who are very dangerous. That they are likely responsible The Exodus and the disappearance of many heroes and villains during the Rumble last October 24. It is important that someone else knows in case the Brooklyn Brigade fails to stop DEMON and get Cthulhued away like their previous victims. On a personal note Kismet was not trying to drive McPherson deeper into his madness, she was trying to get him to talk about the spell, DEMON, or other crimes he'd done. She feels she failed since McPherson just got worse. She feels she owes the doctors and staff at St. John's Episcopal Hospital, maybe even Alec McPherson himself, an apology for what she did to him. Revision Ends: 12 PM Noon (Countdown Clock 18:46) The group rendezvous at the museum. They each pay the 10 dollar admission fee and enter. Paladin's sixth sense for danger is quiet, the museum is no threat to any of them. Exhibits in the museum displays numerous oddities from the circus’ colorful past including a so-called mermaid, Celia the Bearded Ladies fake beard, a framed suit formerly owned by Jake the world’s heaviest man, film footage of the circus back in its heyday and more. Including, but not limited to, a stuffed hippopotamus that was owned by a Italian Grand Duke, anatomic waxes replicas that were a treasure for art students who are learning anatomy, and much more highlighting in the the preserved bodies of Jebediah and Obediah Jefferson, conjoined twins at the back of their heads who worked at and eventually bought the circus. They are the founders of the museum. While Kismet and Paladin explore the museum in the conventional manner Revenant turns invisible and probes areas of the museum the public does not get to see. Network questions one of the tour guides about the location of 'the book' (Livre d'Eibon). She politely informs him that there are no books in the collection but if he were to go to the gift shot there are books about the museum, circus, and the Jefferson brothers there. He continues to grill her on the location of the book until she loses her cool and pointedly tells him there are no books on display in the museum. She suggests he try the library instead. Network then goes to the gift shop and buys one copy of each of the books there. He gets the history of the circus including it being bought by the conjoined twin Jefferson brothers (whose preserved bodies are on display in the basement), the history of the museum, the biographies of Jebediah and Obediah Jefferson, and more. He also buys a coffee mug with a drawing of the museum's exterior on it. Revenant explores the employee break room and a few storage rooms. In the security room there are two men watching the monitors. In the security room he also finds a metal cabinet where the security video tapes are kept. Revenant is very stealthy and is able to examine the tape labels, they are dated. There are only about a weeks worth in the cabinet. Looking around he locates a binder that shows that the tapes are sent offsite for long term storage. On the security guards desk there are more binders one of which is labeled 'Telephone'. Distracting the guards he moves the binder to another desk and examine it. He finds the name of ABC Security, the company that takes tapes. He calls ABC Security pretending to be 'Russ' (the name of the tag of one of the guards monitoring the security screens, the other one is 'Cary'). He tells the lady who answered the phone that he needs the tapes from June 27, 2017 (the date of the Exodus). The lady checks the tape library and informs him that they only hold on to tapes for a year. The tapes requested are not available. When 'Russ' asks if she is sure she checks the contract to see if there is a overflow facility that takes tapes older than 12 months. Several minutes later she tells him that there are no accommodation for tapes older than a year so they were sent to be destroyed. After the tapes are slated for disposal they are no longer tracked. There is an extremely slight chance that they have not been incinerated yet but there is no way for her to locate them even if they still survive. Revenant tries to use the Mind Link to let the rest of the group know what he has learned and discovers that the link is down. Unable to reach Kismet (or anyone) via the Mind Link he uses his cell phone. That works! Being made aware that the mind links are down makes Kismet think that whatever is blinding her links might also be blocking Paladin's Danger Sense. She believes that they are all in terrible peril. Paladin and Marvel Girl have explored enough of the museum that the have reached the final room, the founders room. It is here that the preserved bodies of Jebediah and Obediah Jefferson are on display. Seeing nothing suspicious Paladin begins to move away when a orange cat with the largest, more beautiful green eyes rubs against Paladin's leg and darts behind the glass founder enclosure. He follows the cat and finds a concealed stairway leading down. The cat however is no where to be seen. Summoning Marvel Girl he sends a message to the rest of the group (via phone) and moves to head down. Before they step foot on the uppermost stair the 'preserved' bodies of the founders lash out with mental assaults. The attack on Paladin is ineffectual (he was missed) while Marvel Girl is paralyzed in a Def 3 Body 4 Mental Paralysis. Paladin makes a PRE attack to clear the patrons from the museum. The museum patrons flee with all haste towards the exits. The rest of the team is moving towards the basement to reinforce Paladin and Marvel Girl but they are moving in opposition against the normals who are fleeing as Paladin instructed them too.

Update: Kismet gave the ghost's info to  Lt. Joe Nardini. It was my understanding that she set up a meet and delivered the flash drive with the spreadsheet and a text file, a readme badically. In the first line of the spreadsheet, it reads, "Now, you'll say, "How'd you get this info?" The answer is "I'm psychic." So check out these leads and if they don't pan out then I'm a fraud too. If they do pan out, I don't have to be psychic to know it'll create an absolute mess. You're welcome." Also, it contains more than just the ghost's names and their remains, most were also able to give her the location of the evidence of their murder, as well as the time and date they died and other critical info. The evidence will link them to Alec, and through him, to DEMON. She mentions that Alec is now 'fuiter than a nutcake,' WHERE he is, how many others came in at the same time with the same symptoms, and a posit that other care centers will have a similar event, andf how all of THOSE people can be linked as at least acquaintances. There's a second posit that here's a common event or trauma. She references said trauma as 'reading from The Book'. She also included her brief summary of DEMON (A cult that knows actual magic, very dangerous) and how they are likely responsible for the Exodus AND the disappearance of supers AND villains alike at The Rumble months later - so *some one* knows in case we fail and get Chtulu'd away. Also, Alec getting even more scared was NOT the intent - she had hoped to get him to talk about DEMON or the spell or something else he'd done. She actually failed since he just got worse. She owes the doctors, staff and maybe even Alec an apology for that. He may be an evil wizard, but it still made her feel disappointed. that is NOT in the note to the Lt.
I will update and edit the main entry (assuming I still can) tomorrow (Sunday).  That's for the additional detail(s)!
