Card and Tokens and Macros, Oh MY!

Good Morning all! Is it possible to use Cards to represent Specific Monsters (Characters), and thus, when you deal a card to a Tabletop, that Monster's stats, Macros and other things come through with it? IF so, and I multiply the amount of that specific Monsters "Cards" in the Deck, will it mean that all those monsters have their own wound Pool etc? Specific use scenario: Ive been Converting the original Space Crusade from 1990 to Roll20 as an exercise in learning how to use Roll20 Its been great so far, - especially the Decks as they are Perfect for the Blips and the Alien Event Deck But the Blips are what I use for the Monster Tokens as they have 2 sides and I can flip them over when the blip is revealed to the Players. Ive got Characters created to represent the Monsters. Ive written Table Macros for the Red Dice and the White Dice which work well, and want the appropriate Characters Macros Buttons to appear when I select the appropriate Blip Token Any help would be appreciated Im a Plus Subscriber, if its possible to do it as a Pro Subscriber please let me know, as Im willing to upgrade

Hi Gingerwerewolf,  Could you supply examples (screenshots) of what you mean by representing specific monsters, their stats, etc.? I suspect the answer is no, at least not without a Mod (API Script), and even then maybe no, but more information is needed.
Guys I'm pretty new at the fundaments of Roll20's macros. It's possible change attributes values by macros or just by API?

Thanks for the replies So to detail further There is a Blip Deck - 32 cards They all have the same back, and are set as tokens that are 2 sided - The Back of the Card is a "Blip", the other side or face is a "Monster" In the Alien players turn he draws a number of Blip Tokens. This allows me to play the card Face down (Blip) and then Flip them when they are revealed when a player can see them: See Android Blip example below. After they Have been flipped, they can Attack by shooting or in Hand to Hand Combat so I made a Character sheet to represent each Monster type. So I have one Character sheet for each type (as the same type of Monster can appear multiple times in the game, there are 8 distict monsters, and 32 Blips) When you drag that character sheet onto the game, you get access to the Abilities, because I have made them "Show as Token Actions" So what I was hoping was to get was, when I deal a Blip onto the table, flip it over to represent a Monster, Id like to have access to the Macro Buttons in Purple.

Unfortunately, I don't know of any way for a card to retain control of a character sheet etc. Perhaps the API (a Pro feature) can do it, but you'd have to ask the API gurus.  Basically the problem is that while you can turn the cards into tokens you have to then set the token up, and there is no way to keep that setup once you recall the card back into the deck.  An API script might be able to auto-set up the card when it is dealt, but it would have to have a way to tell the difference between cards, something you'd have to ask the API folks.

This can be done with the API. There are a couple ways it could work, but the easiest is to name the cards the same as a character, when a card is played, the API can look at the name, find the matching character, and set up all the bars and links appropriately.
Thank you both so much for getting back to me! I guess its time I learnt how to use the Roll20 API!
