Simple object tokens

I would like to give my characters object tokens (or have them make their own) for simple objects they might use on a regular basis and have in their journal. Primarily, I'm thinking of a object for a torch. Currently, I would have to make a character, name it "torch" which then creates a character sheet associated with it plus all the other baggage that pops up. All I want is for it to cast light and be movable by the player. If this is already a thing, I would love to hear about it, cause creating a character is the only way ive seen. Things like dropped items, campfires, spell effects, etc would also be nice for character to be able to place on the map and have stored under their character in their journal tab.
You can make a sheet and give it a default token. That token will have "saved" things like light emissions, vision, etc. I would suggest going through the tutorials and Youtube, while you can of course ask, it may be helpful to look at the great video instructionals that may even give more tools for you to use. :)
This isn't perfect, but if you don't mind recreating them (or copy/pasting) when you switch maps, you can simply drop a token (of a torch, for example) on the map, give it dynamic lighting properties including vision, set the token as "controlled by" the player's character  (without linking it to their sheet), and your character will see what it illuminates and be able to move it independent of their character token. That's not ideal, since if they move the light source around a corner, they'll be able to see around the corner even if they haven't moved that far. But it does let you given them a torch that provides lighting, without having to make a sheet for it. This also works for setting "controlled by" to "all players". Everyone can move it, everyone can see what it illuminates, but only from its perspective, as above. Unfortunately, there does not appear to be any way to make the token be a light source for them without giving it vision, even if they control it.
