Hi folks! I always look for time first when I LFG, so let's get that out of the way first. I'm in UTC +7, so that's why this part is a bit muddled. Also I don't want players from around the world to shy away because the time is in EST or whatever. Any and all are welcome! However, I live in the tropics, so I don't know where to start with daylight savings. You'll have to add/subtract those hours from what I have posted below. My availability: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I am free all day from UTC 00:00 until 17:00 Tuesday and Thursday I'm free from UTC 13:30 until 17:00 Potential start times in EST/AEST: EST 8am Monday-Friday EST 8pm Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday AEST 11pm Monday-Friday AEST 11am Monday, Wednesday, Friday About me and general guidelines: So, I'm looking to start my career as a GM. I'd like to get a nice, easy going game running during the week. I want to start with the new 5th edition, but depending on response, I'd be willing to use another rule set. I'm a chilled out guy, but I take my gaming seriously. I'll be there every week, multiple days if that's desired, so you should as well. I don't care if you are an old hat or a bumbling newb, I just ask that you be kind to everyone else (at least ooc) and reliable (at least tell us you can't make it before hand etc). That being said, I will be the bumbling first time GM, so this will be a no pressure environment with very little expectations (I'm expecting to have fun, learn more about GMing, and hopefully make some new friends). I don't want to set a minimum age, but if you are a younger player, please bring your A game. Tech stuff: I'll try to use as much of the fancy roll20 stuff as I can. Voice will be required. I prefer TS3, but I'm willing to use whatever is common to the group we end up with. In order of preference: Teamspeak3, mumble, raidcall, hangouts, ventrillo, skype. I have no camera, so you don't have to have one either. I do have a twitch.tv channel and OBS, so if desired, we can broadcast the sessions. Campaign: I'd like it to be free flowing and PC driven. I will be drawing up a continent map with cities and localized flora/fauna. There might be things worth investigating, problems that need solving, but it's up to you to find out about them. I want to flesh out your characters and watch them evolve. I want to start at lvl 1 and play until your characters die of old age. Maybe that's a bit much, but I do want a long term weekly game with no planned end date. I don't care about good vs evil. There must be some reasonable explanation for why the party members are together, but beyond that I don't mind any sort of bad news bears, mismatched, rag tag bunch. Your actions will determine the alignment and reputation of your party, and, hopefully, I will devise cunning and thoughtful ramifications therein. There will be a lot of improvisation and free flow narrative, which I think many would dissuade me from as a first time GM, but I want to make the game that I want. I want us to tell our own story. But, if we are heavy in the RP and taking it easy, the mechanics shouldn't get in the way I don't think, so it should be fine. ........ Well, that's about it. Please feel free to post some feedback or interest here. PM is also OK. I'll begin designing the world and creating some political and economic structures in the meantime. For now I just want to gauge interest at those general time windows and see what people think. If there's enough interest and times in common, I will make the campaign and link to the LFG page here. If interest is prompt, then so shall I be. Meaning we can start this week if the response is good. Thanks for reading!
