What computer requirements is best for my games to quit lagging so bad?

Ok, I'm running Roll20 using the integrated Audio/Video, I got 6 other players inside and I'm suffering some pretty bad lag. Takes time to highlight tokens, move them around, roll dice, and even the video feed is choppy and my audio to my players comes out delayed. I'm using Firefox browser. Not only that, I can't run hardly any other programs to multitask while I'm running games. Webpages load slowly, it even takes forever for me to open an .rtf file and scroll down to my notes, which also take awhile to load on screen. That's pretty bad.  I'm also streaming on OBS as well, which I know slows things down even further. These are my current laptop specs. I am getting a new laptop but I must know what specs would I need to have my 6-person game with video/audio running while streaming on OBS and multitasking using my PDFs, word files, and surfing the web to access game material during play to run SMOOTHLY.  These are my current laptop specs: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7200U CPU @ 2.50GHz   2.71 GHz 16.0 GB (15.9 GB usable) Windows 10 Home 19045.3324 HP Manufacturer Version 22H2 OS build 19045.3324

Hi Dungeon Master Ao! Lag is unlikely to be directly related to the power of your hardware. Some folks run on tablets or Chromebooks. Others with powerful gaming rigs have big CPU usage issues (This latter is an ongoing problem that proves extremely difficult for the devs to reproduce reliably enough to track down a root cause). Here are some Help Center pages that deal with this issue. Some are geared towards GMs and Game owners, but there's a lot that a player can do to improve their performance: Performance Issues - Steps to Troubleshoot Lag Graphics Performance Troubleshooting Dynamic Lighting Requirements & Best Practices

Streaming with OBS requires turning off hardware acceleration.

Is there no way to stream using OBS without using hardware acceleration? Or should I use something other than OBS?

What happens when you try? I used to record with OBS all the time and never worried about HW acceleration. I'm finding conflicting recommendations about the feature, but more sources that say to leave it on than to turn it off.

I used to stream from a machine that had an integrated graphics card, and here's how I got it to work: Do not record windows! Record screens! For some reason, recording a window requires more work from the processor. Turn off preview once you're sure everything is set up correctly! Check to see how much processing power your monitor is demanding! My breaking point came when I got a new ultrawide and my wee laptop just couldn't keep up. Up until then, it had been okay with a second widescreen monitor.
