"hover" feature for tokens is acting inconsistently.

I am the DM. I made a bunch of maps and set up tokens a few weeks ago. Everything has been working as expected till today (8/23/23). Today, many (not all) of my tokens are not showing their bars when I hover. If I copy and paste a broken token, the new token will work, but the original will not.  I added some new tokens yesterday and those seem to work, though one token I added worked for a bit, but upon refresh, stopped working. I closed my browser, reopened and the new broken token worked again, while the older tokens still do not. Very inconsistent results and none of this has happened before today.

Hi Mark! A fix went out on this today, so it might be worth deleting cache and cookies (and maybe sign out/in for good measure. That should ensure your browser has the latest code. If you still have the problem after that, please post again, and/or file a  Help Center Request , including a  Console Log ( Chrome , Firefox ). If I see your post, I'll also do what I can to direct attention to it.
Thank you, sir.

Unfortunately, this did not solve the issue. FYI, i use no scripts, if that makes a difference.

Then I'd suggest the  Help Center Request  route. I have also done what I can to direct attention to this thread.

We're aware of this and working on a fix currently, I think the thing we are struggling with is a set of consistent steps that cause the behavior to occur. If anyone has one please let me know! Thanks. EDIT: Okay we've got a repro on this now so we're working on a fix. Stay tuned!
Excellent. I know repros can be a pain if its not obvious. Thanks for looking into it. The easy fix, for anyone who needs a fix right away, is to just copy/paste the broken token. The new one should work and just delete the old one. Easily done when you're only dealing with a few. Not so much when you have a whole dungeon set up ;)
Since the last relase notes change log, (august the 23d) a fix was made for the show name plate and bars on hover function. And it actually did work for a day and a half.  Now it's not working anymore.  And even worse, the cross doesn't appear anymore on your token when you pass on it. You have to select it so the blue squares appear again. You don't even know if it is selectable or not.  it's very hard for a gm or a player to handle all these on or off functions that change from one day to another....
We have a fix for this that will be going out early today. It will also fix the "cross" icon not appearing. Sorry for the confusion on that.

Only been back for three days and already resolving long-standing issues that have stymied Roll20 for a long while.  Really glad to see it.  Keep up the great work Riley. -Adam
New (old) colleague who brings a breath of fresh air into the team and also has new ideas regarding implementation... I am with you Adam, maybe things starting to change here for the better ;) Adam Caramon said: Riley D. said: We have a fix for this that will be going out early today. The fix for this is deployed so the hover nameplates should be working as well as the cursors. Let us know if you're still seeing issues though. Thanks! Also thanks for the kind words! Really this is all a team effort and I can't take any credit for it, just the messenger :-)
The issue appears to be fixed. Thanks Roll20 Team!
