Is there a function where a PC in my campaign can have their token permanently configured, such that I just need to pull it out onto the battle map the PCs are on? Not a big deal if not, just wondering about where I can streamline map-making.
Once you setup a token the way you want it(linking, size, light, etc.) and THEN set the image as the default token, it should have those settings moving forward. https://wiki.roll20.net/Linking_Tokens_to_Journals Perhaps the token image was set as the default before making the additional setting changes?
Dumb question followup: "set the image as the default token" means what? Maybe it's a step I missed. So I have Player A, and I made a token for Player A, and I set it to be controlled by Player A after I dragged the token out onto one of the maps.
My bad, it's a character journal option not in the token settings. https://help.roll20.net/hc/en-us/articles/360039675133-Journal#Journal-Bio&InfoTab
Actually, you can also set the default token from the token settings. Here's a rough breakdown, but the gist is: Make changes first, Save as default last. Making changes after setting a default will not automatically update the default.
