Torches! And passing them around more easily?

So we're doing a 1st ed AD&D dungeon crawl (no darkvision, yay!) but the party is finding they pass torches around among themselves and henchmen pretty often, which means I'm having to go into multiple token dynamic lightings and turn on and off light... and it's really annoying. Q: Is there some way to more easily have a single torch that can be moved from token to token? I've tried actually making a torch token, but it becomes its own hassle trying to make to to remember grouping it with tokens and the PCs often lose track of it... Something that attaches to the token and can be moved to another token would be great!

Hi Liam! The easiest way to do this would be a script such as Token Mod or Dynamic Lighting Tool, which would unfortunately require a Pro subscription. Automation is difficult at Free and Plus levels.
The only way to 'attach' a token to another token or turn off light with a macro would be to use a Mod script, which requires the game creator to have a Roll20 Pro subscription. If that is the case, then you can easily use the TokenCondition script  to attach a 'torch' token to a character. Or alternatively you could use the TokenMod script  to have a quick toggle vision on/off macro button.
What I do:  Preparation (do once per light source type) Find a token image you like for the light source.  Create a token for that type of light source (torch, lantern, etc;) Set the lighting and sight elements for the token as appropriate.  I use the blue bar track duration. Add a NPC entry for the light source type. Set its token to use the token you just set up. Give all players control rights, I add the prefix "light" to the name so they all sort together in lists (ex. "light Torch", "light Light Spell")  In-Play (do as often as needed)  When the PC lights a torch (or other light source). you or they can drag-and-drop the NPC onto the map. They can simply pass the token to another PC when handing off the light source. Use the send to Back right-click menu choice to put the light source "under" the token carrying it,.
