Interest Check- Heroes Unlimited revised 2nd ed.

Anyone up for a Heroes Unlimited game possibly on Monday nights CDT? I would prefer to play but might GM if people are interested.
Love to but got too many games going :)
Sorry allow me to rephrase this post. I'm looking at possibly starting up a Heroes Unlimited game using the revised 2nd edition rule set as the basis. The game (if people are interested) would be on Monday nights possibly starting as early as 6PM Central. The game would be open to newbies and to experienced players. If someone is interested in GMing the game I would happily step aside to just play but otherwise I have no problem filling in the role. For those unfamiliar, Heroes Unlimited is a Palladium system using many of the RIFTs rules but is a standalone super hero game. If I am GMing I see it as a game where the players will take the roles of super heroes to save the world! Its a fun and exciting game and I look forward to seeing if anyone is interested and able to join.
Potentially. What did you have in mind for the game? The super hero genre is really broad, and everyone has very different ideas of scope and scale.
It would depend upon the group of players we had and what was rolled. I would start small and build up let the players make the hero they want. It would really come down to what kind of stories the players wanted.
I just finished binge watching both seasons of Arrow so I would be very interested in playing some HU.
This sounds like a fun idea. I'm interested!
For ease of organizing this game could you guys add me on Skype: trasklargero
If you are open to having new players I would love to give this a try
I am open to new people trying the game so this will be a new person friendly game
We still have an opening for 1-2 more players if anyone is interested in this game.
Around what time would this game be? And can I play a teleporter? Or an inventor (Like Forge from '90s X-Men)?
Well the game itself will start around 6 PM CST on Monday Nights. As for characters we could discuss that more in depth in skype.

I'm interested. I had an idea for a character whose abilities come from nanites. They enhance his senses and well as computer hacking abilities and forming rudimentary tools, weapons, and nanite blasts. I'm in the EST. Skype handle is SkyRocker_58 I'm running Linux on my personal chromebook and haven't setup Skype for it yet. If you could email me at skyrocker_58 (at) outlook dot com and let me know when you're online I can use my work laptop until I get Skype working on my chromebook. Probably do that this weekend. Thanks.
I am very interested! I played/ran a lot of palladium back in high school, and HU was always one of my faves. The 2nd ed is one of the few palladium products that is not a hot mess to work with. I also work with Rifts, so am pretty familiar with the systems. I tend to play characters that are always up to something, even if it is nothing. Usually roguish personalities, but with the skills to pay the bills, as it wear. I am also in CST. The only issue is that while I am usually off on mondays, there are some that i do have to work, and may not be available some weeks...I am available the next two mondays for sure, then i may have a week or two disruption... I would love me some HU though, so if you think its workable, let me know!
Also, there is a possibility I could GM, or co-GM/ assist some one else who wants to take a crack at it if that helps at all
Absoultely would be workable TS. Just hit me up on Skype and we can discuss all the details there and I can form the group chat! James i'm almost always on Skype in one way or another so its a reliable way to get in touch with me.
Because there was some discussion of character idea, I'm pretty flexible with what I'd like to bring to the table. I have a few characters in the works already, depending on what concepts, skills, and powers are in the group, but I'm always open to new ideas.
Do you have any idea when you'd like to try and get us together for that character creation group chat Justin? My dice are itching to roll them sweet, sweet stats. I'm leaning towards an acient weapons master/kung fu guy or a mutant dog-man weapons expert. Sorta depends on what everyone else is doing.
With Palladium style games, it is important to keep in mind that you have to fill in all the story and background to really have a good, solid character. Palladium is not a "balanced" system because it mimics real life, which is unfathomably unbalanced. All the crunch is only about 1/2 of the whole process. Your "class" doesn't really determine you personality like other games where sticking to stereotypes gets by. I tend to use the old white wolf method of starting out with a character concept consisting of a 1 to 5 word description of who the character will be. When you are confronted with a choice about a skill or selection, look at it from the story side first, and qualify your choices within the story you are creating. Just some advice that i usually throw out to palladium players, and I find it useful to remind myself as well . Thanks!
