[LFP] [GMT] [5E] [18+] Looking for a small Group to initiate my homebrew world

Hey there, welcome to my Advertisement. I am currently looking for a small batch of Players (3 max) to start off my homebrew setting. I’ve been DMing for about 5ish years now and although I dabbled in homebrew storylines before, I have never tried myself on an entire setting before. I did put in quite a bit of preparation into this already and I think I am now ready to start my or potentially our first adventure on the continent of Egis. The campaign would start off at level 2 and would currently reach until level 5, but depending on how things are going and what sparks of creativity this campaign may induce it’s not unlikely that this could extend onwards. Synopsis: Welcome to the lands of Othor, specifically the wealthfare grasslands. A place most commonly known for its numerous traderoutes rich landscape. In here lies the small mining town of Eswind landing. Nestled in right in between the green wind mountains the area doubles not only as an important pillar for gathering natural resources but also an pivot point that combines the pathways that make it to the arcane overflowing land of Nabria to the west. Merchants, Sellswords, Researchers and many others have come through here to enter the famous (and deadly) red trail to get to the most promising grounds of Nabria. Some have returned, many didn’t. But you, what is it you are looking for? Fame, Glory or maybe wealth? Whatever it is, the path to achieve your goal lies ahead. Are you up for the challenge? This is a little glimpse of what is to expect setting wise. The campaign itself will focus on a mixture between politics, discovery and lore, so be sure to be into those things when applying. If you are interested please shoot me a dm including the following information: Discord Age Experience in TTRPG What you are looking for in a campaign What you absolutely hate to see in DnD games Your preferred RP/Combat/Exploration ratio And finally a quick character concept Im not using Roll20 every day so if it takes 2/3 days before you get an answer don’t worry I’ll definitely come back to you. Looking forward to your applications.
Discord: asteri0413 Age: 19 Experience in TTRPG: Only played one DnD campaign What I'm looking for in a campaign: new experiences, a fun time and a change at roleplaying characters with others What I absolutely hate to see in DnD games: a bad dynamic with the group, only battle and (in terms of what I would find during the game) giant eyes (I have a phobia of them) My preferred RP/Combat/Exploration ratio: I usually preffer more RP and Exploration than Combat. I would say 3/5 RP, 2/5 Exploration and 1/5 Battle. But I can play with different ratios. Character concept: (homebrew character) Human barbarian with the curse of the wendigo. Their name is Takla, their 16, and have no social skills. They got cursed after being forced to starve by their family and went beserk with hunger (they ate them). (I found information about the Wendigo curse here; https://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Wendigo_Curse_(5e_Race); but I completly understand if you'd prefer I use a simpler character.). (simpler character): Silver Dragonborn monk of the Way of the Long Death. They/Them pronouns. Just wants to study anatomy and medicine (by desecting people) so they were exiled from their clan. Has a sister they love very much.
Discord: .gorlockthedestroyer_ Age: 39 Experience in TTRPG: About 3 years as a player, 1 year as a DM What you are looking for in a campaign: Anything, really. Though I do enjoy combat and roleplay What you absolutely hate to see in DnD games: Lengthy shopping sprees Your preferred RP/Combat/Exploration ratio: 30/40/30 And finally a quick character concept: My two most recent characters are below, but I'm open to creating any kind of character. Ryland Corvalis (Bard 5) is a Charlatan Bard who makes his living unburdening the wealthy and unwise of their gold, and making connections with his musical talent and silver tongue. His experiences as a youth made him cynical and distrustful, but as is so often the case he has been wounded by betrayal. The only true love he ever knew was killed when he was betrayed by someone he thought he could trust. Perhaps he seeks that kind of genuine connection with someone again, but he's so talented at finding the flaws in others, comparing them to an unreasonable standard. And when those flaws are exposed, it's difficult not to take advantage. also Marcel (Cleric 4/Warlock 1) was born into a single parent family. His mother was a member of a traveling minstrel show, an acrobat. She and Marcel traveled with the troupe. Marcel was always fascinated by the performers, but he didn't seem to have the same talent that his mother had. However, he was well-liked by the members of the troupe, whom he considered family. However, his mother made a mistake during a performance and became seriously injured. Her injury was so severe that she was permanently crippled and could no longer perform. However, rather than keeping her on in a new capacity, the troupe told her that she would no longer be a part of the group. She and Marcel were both crushed. His mother was never the same; she became bitter and cynical, distrustful of others. She only trusted Marcel, who similarly became bitter and cynical - however his mother didn't seem to harbor much hatred for her former colleagues. But Marcel did. In secret, he began dabbling in forbidden knowledge which he had a passing familiarity with from a few members of the troupe. One night he performed a forbidden ritual in order to put a curse on the troupe: the entity struck a bargain with him, saying that the price must be repaid over many years. Ignorant of the weight of that accord, Marcel agreed. However, the entity that answered struck the entire troupe with a horrific, painful and deadly disease. They were all dead within a month. Marcel felt very guilty because of this, and he demanded that the entity undo the damage he had done. It refused, and it said that Marcel must perform a blood sacrifice equivalent to the 18 members of the troupe in order for the accord to be fulfilled. Marcel refused, so the entity said it would remain bound to him, usurping his own blood until the accord is fulfilled. In an attempt to redeem himself for the evil he'd done, he became a cleric of Kelemvor, a God who, to Marcel, represented the true nature of Death, the natural order of things. Marcel feels he has twisted death for his own vengeful means, and so only through Kelemvor can he reconcile some redemption for what he has done.
