Game is full. No longer looking for players. I’m looking for 3 to 5 players for a 5e D&D game to be run on a yet to be determined night, hopefully starting around 6ish PST. Once I have a few interested players, I will try to find a night that works best. I’m hoping to have a session 0 sometime in the next week and start the first session the week after that. I have run a few campaigns before, and this time I’m running a player driven dungeon of the week campaign. The campaign will take place in and around a single town, Dunholdt and will center around the efforts of the party and the people of Dunholdt to keep it safe in these dangerous times. Magical storms rage across the continent resulting in dangerous mutated creatures and the party has been tasked with taking back and then running the town as it rebuilds. Times will be tough, and it will be up to your party to decide what to focus their efforts on. In simple terms, this campaign is focused on the players keeping a single town safe in a changing world. It will consist of relatively combat heavy, distinct story arcs lasting 2-3 sessions on average. At the end of each arc, I will describe how the party's actions have changed the town, and ask what they want to do for the next arc. D&D is, at its heart, cooperative storytelling and this campaign has been created with that in mind. Most sessions will have multiple encounters, with the party usually facing off against multiple combatants at a time. I run far closer to the intended 6-7 encounters per adventuring day than most other DM’s. As a DM, I put a lot of work into my games. I have run a fair number of campaigns before, including one that ran every week for two years, and several other online campaigns. If you want a combat heavy campaign where you can actually use illusion magic, items like ball bearings and careful planning to really help swing the odds in your favor, then I’m sure this will be a great campaign for you. I’m very open to discussing homebrew options, but I also keep a close eye on balance between members of the party. I know the rules, and I have no problems with modifying them, but I do so carefully, because I believe that it is important that my players know what to expect. At the end of the day, while I like running a challenging game with open ended encounters, I also love seeing my players succeed and come up with clever solutions to those encounters. Description of players who will fit the game: We will be playing on Roll20, and using Discord to communicate over voice, therefore, a microphone is mandatory. Experience as a player isn’t required. I love showing new players the ropes. They come up with clever solutions, and fresh ideas and I love it. Over 18 is preferred, though not required. The content of the campaign won’t be 18+. I will be dropping players who can’t show up consistently, especially ones who don’t send the group a heads up ahead of time. Rule variants: Magic shard enchanting system. Enchant your items with cool effects and customize your character. Spell point sorcerer 5 minute short rests If you are interested in being a part of the campaign please either reply to this post here, or send me a PM answering the following questions. Also feel free to include additional questions. I’ll be getting in touch with you shortly. In your own words, how would you describe yourself as a player? What do you like to see in a campaign? How much experience do you have playing 5e, D&D in general, and other tabletop games? Extra: If you want to, please give a basic idea of a character you might want to play. This isn’t necessary, and I do understand that a lot of people, myself included, like to hear more about a campaign or what the other party members are playing before deciding what to play. If you have any questions, or aren’t sure yet about the game, feel free to post below and I will do my best to answer them.
