The missadventures of GreenTree Python

Never quite add a familiar like him with the many many mages i did in the past. I game him independence and sentience, he as about more intellect as me & average Joe.  Hes not staying Neutral with all the emotion feedback of is master for very long, thats for sure ...  Sidsaspi knows it and tries to restrain him by fear & intimidation.  Regardless, it is the familiar i treat the most as player so far and will expand more and more on the idea. I've no personal plan per say on where i'm going with this but a few ideas... -He wants a army of snakes to conquer the Bird Tower and i am tempted to pick Animal(snake) Leadership feat or Lesser leadership with him.  Would you allow that? whats your opinions on feats for familiars through 3rd HDs ? -Hes looking for growth, magic or power. He's tyranical in the animal kingdom... sort of...doing self awareness going wrong.  -He wants Sidsaspi to give him permission on Magic Jar, which Sidsaspi refused. Magic Jar IS personal sooo...lol I assume it would work . Anyhoo... Letting ya all know that I AM trying to do more with this fam so...err sorry for being a bit over-the-top-mad-crazy with it overall.
The bird tower? Are you talking about the waypoint’s aviary? for the record…I find the way you RP the Python amusing, if a bit difficult to parse at times. But I suppose it isn’t meant to be easy to parse anyway lol
Yes, the Aviary. Nate .   I ave this Green-Tree goal planned since a couple of months IRL. Nothing super major , something resembling ... Familiar Super Special One-Shot mini-stories , one without humanoids doing humanoids stuff. It should be as grand... as if other sentient animal make guess appearances or cameo ;)   Just know that i am not asking for any players to do animal stuff lol , i simply prefer to keep humanoids out of all this making it *not a big deal or passable event*  -It's a Snake...hes as self aware as you and me and every morning he wakes up and looks up in the sky and sees this affront. The promise: Delicious eggs. -He knows hes up against birds & griffons. One of the reasons hes trying to covet great powers.
Unlike animal companions, familiars don't actually gain HD as their master grows stronger. It's more like a portion of your power flows through them, thanks to their special connection to you. The ritual that bonds them to you essentially links them to your soul, which is why you lose xp (part of your soul) if they die, why their effective HD/HP/BaB/etc always reflect your own, and why you have a constant empathic link when they're within a mile of you. The downside of this is that because they don't level up, they generally can't get more feats. However ... I do tend to choose boons based partly on things that PCs spend their time doing, so Sidsaspi might well gain a boon that improves his familiar's leadership qualities. As for magic jar , the wording of Share Spells is rather vague and general, so I suppose technically it might be possbly to let your familiar possess other creatures as well... but if the possessed body is more than 5' away from wherever your own soul is, it'll break the Sharing effect.
Can't say I care for the rape snake side story.
Thanks for the feedback, i'll tone down the /em with him a bit.  I assure you that no one  will be raped in this story lol.  Snakenaping? for sure.
I dont mind the ems, it was the knocking her out and dragging her back to your place that had me concerned it was going dark places.
Oh god, no. lol. (spoiler alert)  Its going Gift-wrapped to Vadania. XD (Green Tree is developing sentient evil , more of the Tyranic kind. Hes also developing grudges because hes forced by  treats from Sidsaspi to do is chores.)
To be fair, snakes are generally huge assholes. And a snake familiar is going to a seriously badass snake, so power corrupts etc.  On a more metagamey note, a familiar is in many ways an extension of its master, their souls mystically bonded together. So the behavior of Sidsaspi's familiar might serve as a narrative foreshadowing into the darkness within its master himself...

Snakes get a bad rap (as do spiders) but any animal whose primary diet consists of disease vectors is a friend to me. One that I’m glad to have within the range of 10 meters to a few miles, but no closer than that :P Okay in all seriousness I’m talking from an IRL eco perspective so my view is skewed especially from what you find in fantasy
Yes , Sid is Chaotic-Neutral (borderline Evil) witch borderline is usually a connotation for roleplaying something *that is anormal or not supposed to be non-evil or alignment forced en-general*  *Is Green-Tree Python a repository of all the recessive evil hes supposed to ave?* I cannot say i planned for us to ask those questions , but it is the kind of reaction/result i am trying to get with a tertiary character not made to care about.
