This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $5 or $10 per session, yet to be decided. Payment is collected through Paypal at the beginning of the session. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements. Ahoy folks, I'm Aegis, your malevolent force of entropy and despair DM, and I've just put the finishing touches on my new world after six years of the old one. It was time for a change, honestly, and despite the last world dying to a case of covid-brain, I'm sort of glad I did. Now I'm ready to open up the new and improved world to new players, and this is where you come in. The world is a heavy-homebrew realm, with some trappings of 3.5 edition on top of a couple of 5E concepts (most noticeably Advantage and Warlocks) alongside a lot of content all my own. It's an open world -- there will be an overarching plot, but it can be freely ignored to go do whatever should you decide to and I'm pretty open on character concepts so if you have something unique, I can probably adapt my world to it. I did rewrite the classes and races, but it's easy enough to pick up. The world is late-ish medieval, although there's some "modern" trappings in there, most noticeably with the dwarves (as in my previous world they'd just invented rocket technology when I ended things and the concept of drones is known, along with crude guns). There's also steampunk mechanized exoskeletons (essentially mech-suits) and high powered airships. There's a couple of homebrewed races in here, classic anthropomorphic animals, a snake/goat/cat/fox cross, a kobold/wereboar/gnoll cross, ice resistant giant lizard men... something hopefully for everyone. Except elves, gnomes and halflings, that is. Those don't exist. Story: The Kingdom of the Opal Diamond is recovering from a rather nasty war where the Lord of Amber caused a major cluster-fluffle in a bid to take things over. Now he hides in the Beastial realms across the ocean, regaining his strength. While the nations recover, news comes that Tzaz-Na-Riithiaz, the Green Dragon "God" of the Glacierbone Ice Sheets, may be... for lack of better words, retiring. How exactly a dragon god of an entire race retires, no one knows, but it's making the nations talk. Across the ocean, the United Beastial Alliance gears up to weather another storm of incoming attacks by the Dwarves of the Kingdom of Melmaria -- the Peltpunchers are back and they're back in force. Then there's the straining-at-the-seams territories of the Seukothi (a race of four-armed squirrel-centaurs) and the Crashbreak Canyons (home to mutant crossbreeds known as Kithyiko), both of which are surrounded by other nations. The former won't do anything unless humans show up, the latter are getting pushy and adventerous. All the while, the Orcs of the Duchy Of The Black Belle (home to their Warchief and the Duchess of Conflict) are watching the world unfold from the tropics and making their legendary Glass items to combat the "Glow" of their realm, and the merfolk known as the Talayaethi are beginning to gather for reasons unknown (and not because the ocean is one big water elemental leashed to the will of the Goddess of Water). Overall, most countries are otherwise quiet, but there's trouble under the surface that's about to burst forth (isn't it always?), and the players are going to be in the thick of all the shenanigans. I'm planning to start sometime in the middle of January, around the 15th or so although I might start a week earlier if I find I have enough victims adventurers ready for shenanigans. We'll be playing in Roll20 and using discord for voice, though if you don't want to use voice you can simply use text. I run my games with a Prologue series of sessions, then three Acts, then the Final Push and Climax. The prologue sessions (the first four) will be free. After that, probably either $5 or $10 per session through paypal, depending on what can be afforded by the players or what people agree upon based on the quality of the Prologue I deliver. Currently as of this posting, five games are shaping up: Monday: Sinners From Heaven : Anthropomorphic animals in a war against the dwarves have made some errors... and some buffoons stand a shot at petrifying the entire planet. Currently Full on Players but that may change before showtime, as showtime is in January after the holidays are over. Tuesday: Cirque Du Foole: Warlocks and clowns are two terrible tastes that go worse together. Your job is to clean up their infernal (heh) mess. Currently Full on Players but that may change. Wednesday: Veil Walkers: A human willingly becomes a werewolf; in this world werewolves are a playable race (and usually the good guys). The forces of evil don't take kindly to another werewolf showing up to give them grief. Currently Full on Players but that may change. Thursday: Cheese and Whine: A lord's lady isn't being very noble, and is murdered before something "big" was set to happen. The lord wants to find out who and why. Currently has 4 Slots Open . Friday: My Little Mayhem: An anthropomorphic hyena pissed off the wrong anthropomorphic horse and ended up in several pieces. Now the horse needs to be tracked down before more are slain. How does one pick out a sapient horse hiding in a herd of wild ones? Currently has 1 Slot Open .
