Hello, I am looking for 4-6 players to join me in one of my favorite modules. I will be using Roll20 as my VTT and Discord for voice. I am looking for a group that can mesh well and RP well with each other. There will of course be battles with strange and wondrous creatures that will test the group thoroughly. I, as a DM, have been DMing for 2.5 years. I have completed a couple of modules and currently run a homebrew. I am a laid back DM that loves to see ALL the players shine, and have a moment. MY TABLE IS LGBT+ friendly THINGS I DON’T ALLOW AT MY TABLE PVP, rogues stealing from other PCs, PCs that want to do everything or take the spotlight away from other PCs. Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online Experience: New-ish DMing for 2.5 years Location/Timezone: US CST Schedule: Tuesdays @ 7 P.M. Roles sought: Players (4-6) ANY EXPERIANCE IS WELCOME Game style: Rp focused with Epic battles What exactly is Icewind Dale? (taken from player primer resource) Icewind Dale: Rime of The Frostmaiden is a level 1-12 adventure set in the far north of Faerun in Icewind Dale (unsurprisingly). Icewind Dale is a region enclosed from the south by a massive towering mountain range known as the “Spine of the World” and to the east by a massive glacier known as Reghed Glacier. To the west is the open iceberg-filled waters of The Sea of Moving Ice, still almost completely containing Icewind Dale in its own frozen bubble. While normally, as seasons pass, Icewind Dale freezes and unfreezes, for the last two years the entire region has been stuck in an endless winter. The passages into Icewind Dale have been racked by blizzards and churning winds, preventing much needed resources from reaching the region. The people of Icewind Dale know Auril’s (God of winter’s cruelty) wrath when they feel it, and they have a name for the unending winter she has inflicted on them. They call it the Everlasting Rime. No one understands why the Frostmaiden has imposed her will in this way or why the other gods refuse to challenge her. This prolonged winter threatens to doom not just the flickering lights of civilization known as the Ten-Towns but also the indigenous flora and fauna that need sunlight and the changes of seasons to survive. The adventure is centered on the region of Icewind Dale and the Ten-Towns within, and features themes of isolation, fear of the unknown, as well as modern and cosmic horror. Think H.P. Lovecraft, The Thing, as well as other pieces of more existential, modernistic horror. As part of the horror theme, the adventure features some elements that people might be uncomfortable with. These elements are as follows: Trigger Warnings for the Adventure Buried Alive (under an avalanche or a cave-in) Brainwashing Freezing to death Inbreeding and Deformities Longing for death Madness Missing Limbs and extremities (from frostbite) Murder Possession Icewind Dale is largely sandbox, and for large parts is very character driven. Almost no forces will make the characters act; it is completely up to you for how the adventure moves forward. Icewind Dale is also a ruthless, dangerous and sometimes stressful adventure. Not everything encountered is made for the players to be able defeat easily or even at all when they first encounter it. Icewind Dale is a living, breathing, bone-chilling nightmare and is shown well through how both in combat and roleplay, decisions can be lethal.
