The ancient carinshire of Tsean-Cheilteach (known as 'Fortune's Folley' in pidgin south trade cant/pataois creole ) on the Great Isle of Laoi-Siadhal has, of late, been beset by an exceptional bought of difficulties. The hyeenlar tribes of the Drunez Mountains, recently believed to be hovering on the verge of extinction, have unexpectedly experienced a renewed surge of vitality. Several trade caravans bound for the lands of the elfin Taheton have never beheld the rainbow-colored scales of their famed bone warriors' thylacoleosaurus mounts. Some dozen expeditions disappeared with nary a trace, but survivors of the caravan of Bilagaana Kilchii, an enterprising merchant from the coastal carinshire of Catacius have just now returned, bloodied but not defeated, to the protective embrace of Tsean-Cheilteach's defensive palisade bearing news of an assault by the ferocious hyena-like mutants of the forbidding peaks of Drunez. It is rumored that the hyeenlar may have been reinvigorated by the manifestation of a dreadful apparition of their dire goddess Draelasna-Umay, dragonwright goddess of fear, darkness, and despair. In any event, the local saerbhreathachhaighe Padraich is seeking enterprising individuals to locate the hidden lair of the Dunez hyeenlar and put an end to this scourge of flesh and fortune. This is a homebrew fantasy setting similar in some respects in tone to masters of the universe and beastmaster. The aesthetic concept is a mix of neolithic and celtic architecture with 'stonepunk' flintstones-style tech in various amounts. Most of the flora and fauna are a strange mixture of xenobiology and mutant dinosauroids and megafauna of various sorts. It's an odd time, but we have 2 players, and will make a character for a 3rd and 4th player if you're interested in trying out this system. We'll be starting at 5th level.
