Each night, as the sun sinks beneath the western mountains and the candles burn low, a devil-beast stalks the village streets, unleashing its savage fury on the living. From warlord to pauper, crone to child, no one is safe. Note to experienced DCC players: This is an introductory game that leads to a LOW Gonzo campaign based around the OD&D classic: "The Temple of Elemental Evil." There are significant House Rules that introduce some modern concepts and mechanics that D&D 5e players may recognize plus my attempts at resolving some of the issues, rules gaps and exploits (Spellburn and Luck, in particular) in DCC RAW while still preserving its "feel." If you are expecting a HIGH Gonzo campaign with machinegun-wielding T.Rexes, time-travelling sorcerers wearing handknit scarves or AI-controlled orbital death lasers then this is NOT the right campaign for you, sorry. New players (to DCC) are welcome as rules will be taught but experience with d20-based RPGs (like D&D) is very helpful.
