All it takes is
one. One murder. One sin. One soul to cross a line. And when that line is
crossed, a path of pain and terror opens up like a clearing in a dark forest.
Worse still, others in the wake of that passing get sucked up and drawn along,
too. A chain of choices and consequences throws a collection of lost souls into
the wilderness. They venture north, to a place where highways end and the
broken go to find answers that can never make them whole. In this place, lives
will be shattered and for many, nothing will ever be the same again. On the
picturesque lakeshore that would be the envy of any resort town, a supermax
prison dominates the landscape. Less than a kilometer away stands one of the
only maximum security mental health facilities in the country. This is not a
"small town with a dark secret". Here, the darkness is on full
display for all to see. Here, miles from the safety of concrete jungles,
monsters--both human and inhuman--have found a home. A strange sort of peace
pervades the community as the horrors who dwell here have carved out a niche of
comfort and security. Welcome to Penetanguishene. Step into the
role of one of the Penetang's less (or more) than human denizens and into the
mystery that's shown up on your doorstep. Can you figure out what's happening
and how to keep it from disrupting the delicate balance in your little town
before your comfortable existence is completely destroyed. This will be a bi-weekly campaign where players can be one of the various supernatural creatures inhabiting a small, remote town. Suitable player character options include Werewolf the Foresaken, Mage the Awakening, Changeline the Lost, Promethean the Created, and Beast the Primordial. Other sources may be allowed at the Storyteller's discretion.
