[LFG][D&D 5e][Online] Former homebrew-only forever-DM wants to be a player in a *real* D&D campaign for the first time

About me: My name's Levi. I'm a 23 year old guy, and I've just recently rekindled my interest in DnD after being totally inactive for over 5 years. I've only ever DMed homebrewed campaigns that were (very) loosely based on 5e rules. I'm looking to kill two birds one stone by re-learning the ropes while attending a campaign as a player for the very first time. Treat me as a total beginner. Experience: Forever-DM, hombrews only, last campaigned about 5 years ago. Rules were basically just "here's a simplified character sheet, here's some general idea of combat and campaign mechanics based on 5e, trust in the dice, and don't be a dick." This is because most of my players didn't really have the time to read and follow a rulebook. We made it work, had lots of memorable moments, and it was a ton of fun all-around. We did modern post-apoc, high fantasy, and steampunk. Play Style: I've never been a player so I've much to explore about how I play and what I prefer in a campaign or a DM. I guess it's good to keep in mind that I was mainly drawn to D&D for the narrative and role-playing aspect of it, so I wouldn't mind being in-character most of the time. I'm also not put off by the more technical mechanics like combat/tactics and stat/resource optimization (I finished Darkest Dungeon on Stygian so I figure I have some tolerance for those). As someone who's DMed, I have an idea of what most DMs wouldn't want to have in their campaigns. I'm certainly not going to just kill and loot every NPC, wander off all alone, derail the plot for no good reason, cut the party with edge, or unnerve everyone else with a need to put my character in the spotlight. If it's not fun for others, it's not fun for me. Availability: I can only play online, and can attend 3-4 hour sessions, two sessions a week max, long-term or short-term campaigns. I'm free Monday to Friday 9AM-3PM ET or 6PM-10PM ET. My schedule is tighter on weekdays due to work so this is strict. I can play Sundays and Saturdays any time except for 12PM-6PM ET. For reference, my native timezone is PHT (GMT+8). I'll be playing 10PM-2AM or 7AM-11AM where I'm from. Communication: I have Discord for communication (gyle10), and I can do voice calls but not video. I'm comfortable making new accounts for any online tools/sites needed. Preferences : Not really squeamish. I can tolerate just about any explicit or taboo theme or element in campaigns as long as it isn't gratuitous. I'm absolutely LGBTQ+ friendly and I'm not the type to fuss about people's gender, culture, or ethnicity. I don't get a lot of opportunities to meet new people, so I'm a bit socially anxious before settling in a group, though I'm totally cool with being around more talkative and outspoken people. I'm looking to learn, have some fun, meet other players, and reignite the wonder and excitement I felt playing DnD with others. Drop me a DM or add me on Discord (gyle10) if you want me as a player. I'm happy to supply any more details about me you need. Cheers.
Here’s my game. Pm if you’re interested and we’ll set up a interview! Hollow Victory System : D&D 5 e  Modules : Rise of Tiamat, Grim Hollow Time : Mondays, 3-8pm PDT Tone : HIGH Roleplay, Grim Dark Adventure, Grand Campaign Requirements : Roll20 account, working microphone, 18+ age, must be open to a voice conducted interview, good alignment only (Be warned this game features variant mechanics that make combat slightly more dangerous. ) Brief Summary : In the grim dark world of Etharis the gods are dead or missing; the land they abandoned now ravaged by abominations, vampires and demonic beings. Worse is the zealous country of the Castinellan Provinces, seeking to wipe out all magic from the land in the name of the celestial being they worship, Empyreus. The agents of the Lady of Fire, one of many lost gods, known only by the symbol of a five headed dragon, entreat the party to help them. The whole world is slowly becoming the target of Empyreus zealots and a growing concern for everyone. If left unchecked, the Castilnellans would use unspeakable magic to raise Empyreus into a god. The only god.  To help prevent this is to fight dragons, demons and politics. However, this world is not so easy to wander or fix; Famine, death and horrible curses are spreading across the land. To be Heroes in Etharis is to know you don't always win. The 'right thing' is seldom clear and the concepts of good and evil are rarely black and white. Will the heroes win and help save the world, or will their victory end up as bleak and hollow as before?
