How do I add a second sheet template? (or fake it...)

I have a game of D6 Star Wars going, using the out-of-the-box Roll20 D6 character sheet. I want to add sheets for starships. Those are basically character sheets too, but in a totally different format. What's the best way to add a second kind of character sheets to an existing game? (And to be clear: I have some idea of how much effort making a new sheet template is as well as how to do it; I just don't know how to do so in a way that 's useful in this situation)

I don't know a way to fake it or workaround. Please add your comments/request and Vote +1 on the Suggestion for this feature to be allowed on roll20, https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/6493089/multiple-sheets-in-a-game/?pagenum=1

To build on Gold's statement, you cant add a second sheet to a game. You could kind of fake it by using a handout as a sheet - you can add rolls to a handout. But this wuld be a lot of work and has no automatic features like a character sheet has. The only way to do this properly is to persuade the sheet designer to add a ship tab to the existing sheet (or do it yourself). But this is also a lot of work!
I assumed we were in “do it yourself” territory here… How do I add rolls to handouts? Is there a good resource you can point me to?
One way I'm doing something kind of similar for Battlesystem Units in my AD&D 2E game is to use the Tooltip section of the Token for reference to Stat Blocks that don't change, (so you just hover over it and it shows the basic range/movement/attack & defence values etc) and adding my own Attributes using the standard Character Sheets to draw through Macros for things like Attack Dice, Armour values and Hit Points, so that the Macros have something to look at for sources. That's how I would handle the situation for Ship To Ship combat. In adition to the Handout, you can probably use a Template to draw and call up a chat based macro update of current stats beyond the three you can see on the token from the attributes. (I don't think its possible to update the entries in a Handout like you can on a character sheet, though if that IS possible I would love to know how because that would be a BIG help to me right now!) You wouldn't be able to open the template like a character sheet, but it would be available at the push of a button and you could amend the notes on a standard character sheet, handout or the token. Either way, using the standard character sheet (if only for the ability to add as many Abilities/Macros as you want) is probably going to be the way to go. You don't need to use anything else on the CSheet beyond your new bespoke Abilities and Macros. It's been many years since I played the d6 Star Wars game, and don't remember anything about ships, so not sure about how locations, shields, armour and hits work

The Star Wars: (D6) West End Games sheet has a built in starship and vehicle sheet, which behaves differently than the default player character sheet. It sounds like you mistakenly picked the simpler Star Wars: (D6) 30th Anniversary Edition sheet instead, which has no such option. I suggest you try to improve on the sheet with the starship to your own liking, rather than than trying to create one for the white star wars sheet. And if you have been running the game for a longer while on the 30th sheet, I'd still say it less effort to manually convert character sheet stats from one to the other instead of coding a starship tab. The two sheets have different attribute names & structure for storing character stats, so simply switching sheet template wont work, as the 30th edition stats will become hidden, and will show characters as if they had no stats.

I picked the right sheet, and simply didn't know about the option to switch to Starships (or NPC/container/etc) That's a much, much easier solution. Thanks!!
