FX appearing behind PC tokens

Hi all, I'm having some problems with FX appearing behind player character tokens, I am the GM. It works properly on NPC tokens. I don't recall this happening before today, but I might just not have noticed it. I believe this is connected to the layering issues some people, including myself have been experiencing. What I mean by the layering issue is that a player character's token is translucent, unless you add yourself to the "Can be edited and controlled by" section under "edit" on the character sheet. When I remove myself from the  "Can be edited and controlled by"  section, the player character tokens become translucent again, but the fx appear as intended, in front of the tokens. Hopefully, there's an easy fix to this and thanks. Edit:  I should mention that adding myself to the  "Can be edited and controlled by"  on an NPC token has no affect on FX.

Hi Timothy! Those are two entirely unrelated systems. The particle FX system hasn't been touched in may years, to my knowledge, and the transparency effect is due to the way in which Explorer Mode is implemented, and thus may be unavoidable barring the workaround you mention. I haven't tested the FX front/back issue you describe. Can you give specific repro steps, including page setup, token and vision settings?
Hi Keith, Thanks for the help. I've done more testing and this problem seems to occur with dynamic lighting turned on. Once I turn it off, everything is back to normal. It looks like a combination of specifying myself as able to control the token and enabling dynamic lighting, However, in the coarse of testing different scenarios I've now removed myself from control permission and my PC's tokens are no longer translucent. So, now everything works again.  If you'd like to try and recreate this issue I believe you would grab a PC controlled token, give your account control of the token and then throw it on a map with dynamic lighting enabled.
