Where societies dance in the shadows of towering ruins. Where the mad and the desperate turn to dark powers and charlatans; to find salvation where there is none. Where corrupted creatures creep and stalk, where the academic triumphs of humanity are regarded as the most arcane of secrets. Where Magicians in their luxurious manses, wile away the scant time remaining, studying magical formulae, weaving life, and plotting against their peers. This is the Dying Earth. If you wish to explore a world of dark whimsy and fantastical future, look no further. In this game you will take the role of Magicians, Witches, Vat Things and Way Farers, bound together by fate and pragmatism. Explore the ruins of the Dying Earth, dredging up wealth and knowledge untold. Create your own spells, bind monsters of yore, seek passage to the Overworlds or bend the Earth to your Will; the choice is yours in this fantastical journey at the End of Time! This campaign will take the characters on a tour through the Dying Earth primarily through an Adventure Path set out using the Dying Earth modules. However, as the players interact with the world and it’s people, the opportunity to branch out farther will increase. This allows players to either stick with the Adventure path, or strike out on their own and see what consequences, or rewards, emerge from their tomfoolery.&nbsp; The adventure should take the characters from level 0 to level 6 or 7 We will be using a Funnel Adventure for character creation and by extension session 0. For those unfamiliar, a Funnel is a particularly deadly adventure where players create 4 to (sometimes) 8 level 0 characters. These characters are then pitted against a grueling gauntlet where only the strong, cunning (and often times lucky) survive. Characters who survive are granted level 1 status and gain a class of their choice. At extra characters kept in reserve in case of any later casualties. Players should come a good attitude and a good grasp of the DCC rules. If one is new or does not have the rule book, I will be happy to provide them upon acceptance into the game. This goes doubly for the Dying Earth supplement as I will provide the Player Libram for full rules and character options. **UPDATE** We are moving onto Session 1 “In Search of a Drink.” Hired (or more accurately, accosted) by the Magician Tamquazz, our “Heroes” set out north to the Whitewood of Runsoggoth; wherein lies the village of Pumriel. Here, the people worship a great bronze idol, and a sect of priests who hold the secret to immortality; bottled and preserved in a most peculiar Brandy… Will you be able to retrieve the prized beverage and survive, The Laughing Idol of Lar-Shann? The Destruction Pumriel weighing as a feather upon their minds, our protagonists set their eyes upon the strange miniature diorama they retrieved from the temple of Lar-Shann. It's ability to transport them into it's contents is not only intriguing, but filled with boundless possibilities! But as our protagonists have just found out, there is a heavy a price to pay for such privilege. Now fleeing to the undercity of Marlinko though to hope to recoup their losses and figure out a plan to destroy this monstrosity of a cult. **UPDATE** Session 4: Timeless Treasure Our protagonists have successfully felled the Cult, and looted the depths of their temple. It is not without a price, as an ally fell with the damned cultists. However, they now look forward to further reward, being directed to an ancient vault containing relics from the Age of Glow! What will they do with these Timeless Treasures? They hear whispers of an All Knowing Being deep within the Deformed Jungles to the North. But to get there, they must find the floating tower of Qra the Covetous, through the Blasted Mounds along the frozen waves of precious metals.
