Hello everyone, as the title says looking for players for the Pathfinder AP Rise of the Runelords: Burnt Offerings. We'll be using Skype for communications. If you're wishing to join keep a mind to RP and try your best to stay in character when it's game time. Character Creation: We roll 4d6 drop the lowest. Character Sheets should come from Mythweavers preferably, though so long as I am able to see your sheet with no extra hassle anything can be used. Characters should have some reason for being in Sandpoint, be it they are current residents, or just travelers that heard of the Swallowtail Festival or whatever other idea you come up with. In addition I want everyone to let me know their character's goals, appearance, and backstory. I am open to homebrewing, just let me know what you want and I'll decide what to do with it. Players, come with an open mind to role play because role playing is awesome and that's why we're here! General Rules: 1) Keep OOC conversation to a minimum, I'm not overly strict on this but would prefer it this way. 2) Obvious rules are obvious, no bad mouthing OOC (if your character is going to bad mouth another character that's RP and therefore okay so long as it doesn't cause problem.) No racism. You know the drill, obvious stuff that I probably don't need to point out. 3) Be on Time/show up. If something is barring you from coming that's fine, so long as you let me/the group know, otherwise you will find yourself out of a game. 4) Stay focused on the game at hand, even when it's not your turn you should still be in the mindset of your character, your PC would be observing what's happening in battle, so should you. 5) ROLE PLAY! I heavily enforce RP. Also, RP can over rule a rule, (as in the core rulebook) even if something isn't in the rules, so long as you RP what you want in a sensible manner it could easily be allowed! 6) Have fun! 7) Try keeping interruptions to a minimum, if someone is talking first let them talk. (unless your character actually would interrupt someone mid conversation) About me: This will be my first time DMing Pathfinder so bare with me. I have played tabletop for 18 months now starting with 4e. I have DMed since day 1 of my "career" and am constantly watching and learning from other DMs that I see online. If you are familiar with Noah Antwiler, then you are familiar with what got me started in D&D and where a lot of my knowledge comes from. I also watch Rollplay on youtube which is an awesome stream that I highly recommend. Rise of the Runelords: Burnt Offerings is a published adventure path by Paizo Publishing, but I will most likely not be using it word for word, like with most things D&D/Pathfinder I tend to use such things as a guide, because that's how I feel it's meant to be used. (I also tend to use the rules themselves as more of a guide rather than absolute truth. Currently no house rules but that's subject to change (though I will let you know ahead of time if I change something.)) Also remember I love thinking outside the box so feel free. I am not the kind of DM that will tell you no, I feel that to be bad DMing. I may not give an absolute yes but I will always compromise. Again, this is my first time DMing (and really my first time playing) Pathfinder so if I do something wrong, don't get offended, just inform me. Constructive criticism is a plus, I eat that up. Player's Guide: Rise of the Runelords: Player's Guide can be found below, it's a free PDF so feel free to grab it. http://paizo.com/products/btpy8bd9?Pathfinder-Rise...
Just a heads up that you linked the internal campaign details rather than the public posting.
Always wanted to play this one, particularly with an RP-focused GM, and Friday evenings are probably one of the best times for me. Would be interested in trying out the slayer class (rogue if not allowed) with a half-elf who's been basically driven out of Janderhoff on rails following a scam gone awry. (I wouldn't be doing any backstabbing/stealing from the other party members, though, so no need to worry on that end of things.)
Unfortunately the group is now full. I will let you know if someone drops though. Sorry for any inconvenience.
