Ghoulish greetings and grave time zones potential adventurer! DISCLAIMER: This campaign has no set start date, no decided day of play and no decided time of play yet. The reason for this is, I like to take my time selecting a table. This helps ensure I have a great group of like minded folk enjoying the time spent, and I prefer to weave characters into the world I've built which can take time. I understand this might be a deal breaker, but if you're still interested please read ahead for more info! About the DM My name's Ghoulie, I go by she/they pronouns, and I've spent about 19 of my 34 years on this planet playing some form of roleplaying game. Two of my biggest passions in life are story building and voice acting, which I've been told definitely show in my D&D craft. My style of DMing is a bit chaotic to some, but I just like to let the table's imagination govern the gameplay more than anything. I adhere to the "rule of cool" more times than not, and highly encourage players to create a character based on roleplay over "min/maxing". I've got more homebrew bookmarked than a witch in October, so let's get weird. About the Campaign The world itself is expansive, but still maintains a noticeable diversity in both scenery and culture. While a lot of mechanics are based on the familiar Forgotten Realms such as monsters and magic items, I've built my lore from the ground up including the planet, pantheon, planes and plenty more. I've also implemented various rule changes from the RAW 5e mechanics, such as character creation, changing the length of short/long rests, whether temporary hit points stack and the great debate on why my ally can't scooch over in that 5' square. You must be over the age of 18 to play in this campaign, I'm sorry young adventurers, but it's a must. This game is definitely beginner friendly in terms of willingness and patience to teach, but it's not really a campaign that's meant to be easy or railroad you often. About the World History states, that the planet was quite literally crafted from the death of a celestial titan. The seasons we see each year were primordial manifestations from the titan's blood, flesh and dying breath. Those manifestations then birthed the age of creation, where humanoids rose from the divine ooze. First of civilization was pure and righteous, fighting back the beasts that came before, surviving through the dark nights. Wars and crusades were waged, and perhaps it was these acts of violence that beckoned the unclaimed one, who brought death to their lands. However, the world post ashes also brought technology, and with it a wildfire of controversy. This world was built by gods, shaped by magics both divine and arcane, there was no need for such inventions. Not to mention, the volatile behavior observed between mechanical and magical. Most notably, the decimation of an entire region known to have been located on an arcane ley line, exploded into a dome of amber when the railroad expanded. In current times, technology continues to evolve despite the dwindling protests against it, even coming as far as launching the very first space ship... About the Process I don't like giving away too much about the lore, so I hope the vague synopsis was enough to grab your interest, and if it did please feel free to contact me for more information! Preferably through private message, that way I can send you a "sneak peak" at the player document which also covers content warning, character creation and rule changes. THANKS!
