(While I will be using Fantasy Flight Game's Deathwatch system for this game, the party characters will be from a homebrew chapter and will not be in Deathwatch) IN THE GRIM DARKNESS OF THE FAR FUTURE THERE IS ONLY WAR. Deep in the Segmentum Obscuras lays the world of Kryxus VII, an Imperial Feudal World well-known for producing Astropaths of stellar quality. The guardians of this world are The Steel Griffons, a chapter of the Adeptus Astartes that is a successor chapter of Terra's own Imperial Fists. From their fortress-monastery of Stone Invictus they watch over their world while would-be aspirants traverse through the shadowy Warp-touched Miasma that coats their domain. This stalwart chapter of marines is known for their shock & awe tactics, but they would soon succumb to the machinations of a force of evil. Manipulated by an unseen foe, The Steel Griffons destroyed an Imperial World, snuffing out 10 Billion lives in a matter of days. Ashamed at the realization that they had been beguiled, the chapter was then set out on a Penitent Crusade, a several thousand year venture that left 30 billion dead xenos in its wake. Now, in the 41st millennium, the Steel Griffons finally return to their homeworld a broken endangered chapter with hardly a company of marines at their command. Will the Emperor's Light guide these Astartes through the darkness, or will their lantern light be eternally snuffed out and lost to time? THE DETAILS This will be a tri-weekly(or monthly at the least) game using the Fantasy Flight Game's Deathwatch system that follows the exploits of an endangered space marine chapter. When: Triweekly or Monthly on Sundays, 7pm-12a EST Where: Roll20 and Discord Players: 5, though I'm looking for just one more at this point. This will be a group friendly to all and free of bigotry! I am looking for people that are familiar with the setting who have a decent amount of lore knowledge regarding Warhammer 40k. I've been into the hobby for over a decade, but I'm no professor of lore myself. Don't worry about the game being new to you, either.
