Hey everyone I am back, and this season FIRE WINDS OF THE SEAS is going to be better than ever , I enlisted TIMMAUGH the ROLL20 famous macro geru to make new macro buttons for my game that quickly show where you get hit at, it will speed up the game mechanics 2x!! which mean we have faster combat and more time for roleplay and be even easier for new players to learn. This will be our 4th season playing this game on roll20 and 11th year GMing tabletops. I made this game system because D&D is simply unbalanced between races and classes, and intentionally disables player so they are dependent on teammates that may be incompetent or non-optimized. This may leave you to suffer or the team to suffer because of you. So I created this game system based on equality and fairness, where everyone has an equal chance to be the hero. This is a pre-gunpowder medieval weapon fantasy game with medieval weapons and homebrew fantasy creatures and magic items and Magic weapons. THIS IS NOT DND 5E It's ok that you don't know how to play this game, I will help you. It's designed to be easy to learn and FAIR for players. I am not a first time GM and the game is all set up to play. When you start, all macros are already made for your character sheet. I will tell you when and where to click a button to roll until you figure it out yourself. Today's first time players are tomorrow's pro roleplayers, so we love helping new players get started in roleplaying where other game and systems out them as a burden on the party. THE MAGIC SYSTEM AND SPELLS ARE DIFFERENT THAN DND 5E EVERYONE CAN USE MAGIC, and you will need to. In this game you have to "Roll-to-Cast" with your Religion-Magic skill and spells can work better the higher you roll or worse or not at all if you dont roll high enough. You can use basic easy to roll low level magic to help defend yourself from damage with a magic shield or make your attacks do more damage, or add points to your magic skill and collect magic items that add points to your rolls so you can more easily cast a vast array of complex spells and improve your skills, or even save your life . There is a link to the spell guide and spell book in the game. The more magic points you have the more spells you get per day and you have access to harder level spells. THIS IS A CLASSLESS AND RACELESS RPG SYSTEM You are a barbarian/wizard/rogue/assassin/healer/bard human- you can (and will need to) do it all - you don't have to count on party members to save you . You are not prohibited from doing things by stupid class and race restrictions designed to disable your character like DND. You can put points in the skills you want when you build your character. Everyone has the same targeted AC system where damage literally could cost you an arm and a leg and anyone can use armor that lessons the damage you take. THIS IS A PLAY WHEN YOU CAN SERVER - it is OK to JOIN LATE - or - LEAVE EARLY - or - MISS SESSIONS. We play about 2-5 times a week or whenever we can. This is not just a dungeon grind , there is a story and goal for players to work for. STORY TRUMPS RULES BUT EVERYONE BEING ABLE TO PLAY TRUMPS STORY. When you leave or don't show up your character will walk away or rejoin the party later when you can play, but the story will always go on with or without you . We are not going to cancel for months just cause someone can't make it. Some people play for an hour some play all night, some play multiple days per week and some show up every few months. Experience points are handed out each secession even if you have to leave early, and loot is divided by the GM for the players so there is no fighting over it. INVITE A FRIEND IT IS FREE TO PLAY! Those who are captured by the gort (both man and beast), are enslaved and/or eaten. Some victims are used to host the gort larva that will incubate inside its victim then devour their hosts alive. Kill the Gort and steal their treasure to finance your cause. Or take the offensive and raid their homelands and slay their children before they grow into an army that will destroy your entire race. Your God has blessed you with a few magic spells and prayers to protect you and help you against your enemies, but you will have to fight with your weapons and courage if you want to succeed. Long ago the greats of your people used these powers to protect the world. They built magic weapons and temples to aid and bless warriors who would defend the island. Many of their ancient tombs, lost shrines to the gods, and powerful weapons have been abandoned and lay waiting for the next generation of heroes to discover. These are deep in forbidding dungeons that are defended by spirits, magic and beasts which only the brave can survive. Some magic items have been plundered by evil beings and use the magic to enslave and harm others with beasts and servants they created and they too must be stopped. The world is a vast collection of many medieval islands and many types of cryptid beasts and creatures and you never know what you will run into across the seas or under them. Collect magic items, study the arts in schools of fighting skills, become an expert in sailing the high seas or polish your music skills to serenade dragons into divulging their ancient knowledge. The time has come for you to set sails and defend your coastal waters and liberate your people. DA RULES --------- YOU MUST HAVE DISCORD AND A MIC We post when we are going to play in our discord and use discord voice chat in our games. 18+ WITH GROSS VIOLENCE AND HORRIBLE LANGUAGE Or at least be 16 and act like and sound like you are 18, and never tell us you're not 18. Your starting role will be a supporting character that helps our “Royalty Players”. The story and plot is written around them and their backstory. If you play with us on a regular basis you will become a royalty player and the story will eventually be written around your backstory. First time players will not be allowed to hijack the story line or what we call “player railroading” with an 18 page backstory 2 mins after they show up. It's cool to have a backstory, but w ork it into your roleplay. FOLLOW THE STORY, BE A HERO, DONT BE A MURDER HOBO, This is a hybrid between a campaign and a one shot, Only a limited amount of railroading when necessary to advance the story in an endless open world setting. This is a story of heros- not murder hobos rapists, if you want to be a murder hobo rapist please find friends somewhere else. BE COOL, We play to be social and make friends. If you're not a nice person who wants to make friends and hang out with others and help each other succeed you're probably not going to fit in. If you want to bond and fight for glory with fantasy friends to save the kingdom come join us. We do about 80% combat 20% roleplay but some sessions are just combat.
