So, as the headline says: I try making a (rather large) chatlog of a current campaign into a PDF for easier reference and reading up. I'm using Firefox and use the option to see whole log. It is a total of 1921 pages according to the Preview window. I tried choosing the "microsoft print to PDF" option as well as the "save as PDF option, and here is what happens: a) microsoft print to PDF >> took about 30 minutes and finally created a file in excess of 284 MB. But it can't be opened. b) save as PDF >> stopped with an error after about 3 minutes, creating a part file of 105 pages at a size of 233 MB. I had another long time campaign of which I made a PDF about a year ago, with a total of 2099 pages - also using Firefox and the file created is about 20 MB. Now I am fully aware that such a large size is, well, "challenging" to process, yet in the past it works, making a much smaller (and readable) PDF with comparable page size. So I am wondering what changed in the meantime and how get a working PDF now. Another note: Yes, I am aware there's in theory the option to not save the whole big log, but save in parts. The problem with that, for some unfathomable reason, the whole 1921 pages were split by roll20 only in 7 section, though the campaign running for over a year and with perhaps 40 or so separate game sessions. This leads me to another question: How does roll20 determine when to break up a chat log in separate pieces? Apparently it is not one per session. Any suggestions and comments how this work - and how I can make a working PDF - greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Also: Happy new year to everybody. =^_^=
