You’ve just started your adventuring career, but already find yourself embroiled in a plot that sprawls from the shadows of Baldur’s Gate to the front lines of the planes-spanning Blood War! Do you have what it takes to turn infernal war machines and nefarious contracts against the archdevil Zariel and her diabolical hordes? And can you ever hope to find your way home safely when pitted against the infinite evils of the Nine Hells? Danger, darkness, and evil abound! Baldur’s Gate: Descent Into Avernus is a long form adventure featuring some of D&amp;D’s most iconic set-pieces, including the infamous city of Baldur’s Gate, as well as the major conflicts of the Nine Hells. You can expect the following on this grim tale of devils and dark pacts: Your adventurer will begin at level 1, and journey all the way to level 13 for high level play! Encounter and fight devils, cultists, and famous villains from the D&amp;D lexicon! Explore Baldur’s Gate in its enormous scale, and then plunge into one of the most vile planes of existence to confront and uncover titanic evils. Complex and exciting combats featuring hand-crafted custom maps, named rivals and foes to learn to love to hate, and more! The Call to Adventure: Whether a completely fresh and new adventurer, or a veteran of D&amp;D for many years, Descent Into Avernus is catered to all parties and players. Expect to be guided, assisted, and helped every step of the way to ensure you have the skills, know-how, and might to save an entire city beseiged! If you’ve played before, be welcomed as well, for Descent Into Avernus includes a plethora of detailed politics, combats, and perils to see in a brand new light. What You Will Need: When signing on for this adventure, you’ll gain access to a customized Discord where you’ll be granted access to art, fellow adventurers, and more! Access to Discord, a functioning microphone, and access to the website known as roll20.net are expected to be able to play, and Discord and roll20 are free services! What You Receive: Using roll20 exclusively for my DM’ing needs, you’ll have access to almost every sourcebook needed to fully customize your character! From the website of roll20 you’ll be able to use the Charactermancer and create a character from scratch, following simple step by step prompts. If you’re new to the game or the system, I’ll run you through the whole process, so no need to worry! What To Create: Adventurers will begin this adventure at level 1, but if you’re joining us later on, you’ll make a character fitting of the level of the rest of the party: no adventurers left behind! Expect point buy, or standard array, for stat distribution, and basic equipment to start; don’t worry, you’ll be outfitted with magic and tools to combat the Nine Hells once you’re in the game proper! Villainous adventurers are not recommended, as the evil of Avernus and its cults will bring more than enough villany, though expect grey areas as morals and goals are questioned throughout the adventure. What To Expect: New or an experienced player, this adventure will come with guides and help from your DM in every facet. Although the task ahead is grand, the pacing of the adventure allows for an easy introduction into the basics, including roleplay and combat. Baldur’s Gate is a city with such history, you’ll be filling your whole notebook with the details! See famous sights and sounds that have featured heavily in the three Baldur’s Gate games, as well as the darkest depths of the first layer of the Nine Hells! Having reached level 4, our band of heroes have delved into dungeons, fought cultists, and one of them even died and was brought back to life, twice! Join the merry band of misfits, who are as follows: Denek the Kobold Artificer , an unlikely hero who has broken from his kobold hive to see what human life is like on the surface. Employing insects for his inventions, Denek is observant and talented, but finds himself caught up in the finer details. A polite demeanor brings him to the forefront of most conversation, and his intent to get the job done culminates in incredible efficiency. Flameshe the Yuan-ti Hexblade , far from the jungles of Chult, has come to Baldur’s Gate to help bolster her patron and their dark purposes. Always willing to help with incentive, Flameshe brings a twist of the arcane through shimmering mirror-like displays of her rapier to further a mostly unknown purpose. Siofra the Eladrin Druid , having joined the party in search of kidnapped family, always bring a cheery disposition and wondrous naivety to the party. Don’t be fooled, however, as her out-of-city lifestyle brings incredible insight, and a strong sense to do what is right, at the incredible expense of her enemies. Víðarr the Dragonborn Paladin , always getting kicked when down. Having died twice now, and paid both service and even cherished memories to survive, he stands stalwart against those who wish to bring ruin to Baldur’s Gate. Always at the front, he stands as Tyr’s shield and sword to crush those who beseech dark powers. Notes From the GM: This adventure is expected to be a very long excursion, as most of what’s in the adventure I love to expand upon in almost every way. Dozens of new NPCs, customized maps, and set pieces pulled from other adventures to enhance this one make it all one very lengthy story. If you want your DM to obsess over the finer points to enhance your play, this is a great place to start. Your DM is available typically between the hours of 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM PST, and your enjoyment is paramount above all things.
