Like some others I've seen on the forum, I'm a GenX nerd looking to reconnect with this hobby I lost touch with a long time ago. Me: GenX, he/him, neurodivergent, highly LGBTQ+ friendly, generally verbose oddball  What I'm after: I'm mainly looking for a good group of folks to have fun with on a regular basis (weekly or biweekly pref) -- the specifics beyond that are negotiable, to me. I've posted application-comments on a few games, but haven't joined a game just yet. I'd be open to trying a short-term game just to get my feet wet, but eventually hope to find a group of friends who like to play together regularly.  Experience: I don't have much recent experience with TTRPGs but as a kid I was the resident DM for original AD&D in my school/neighborhood, then didn't really play after high school, and only a couple of campaigns as an adult (last one was over 15 years ago). What game?: I am open to playing pretty much anything, but have been looking for D&D 5E just because it seems like a good place to start. Call of Cthulhu has always looked interesting to me as well, but I know basically nothing about it or any other TTRPG system, as of right now.  Play style preference: I think I prefer fairly casual play; lightweight character roleplay, but not "heavy RP"; not getting too hung up in game mechanics or endless table-referencing & tedious counting of every little thing.  Times available: I'm in EST, and prefer playing between 6PM-11PM; weeknights are preferable, but I could do a weekend for the right game/group Medium: I suspect I would enjoy video + audio best? Harder for me to keep up with only audio (ADHD, etc.) But I'm open to considering whatever!  Other Players: I appreciate people of all walks of life, generations, neuro-types, genders, and the rest. The more variety the better <3 I value care and respect in how people treat one another.
