Is there any interest in Mage: The Awakening (Revised) out here?

Sorry - I can't find a way to alter the Topic - I should have posted Mage: The Ascension (Revised) . I've had no luck finding a group in the groups listing. I've had no response to my post about finding a group. Is this just not a very popular game on roll20? I'm not against the idea of starting or even running a group - but if there's no real pulbic interest, then there's no real point. Thoughts?

There are games out there, but none that I immediately know of. I'll be in one shortly with some friends.

This is a hard game to find interest for as the inherent rules make it tricky to not only play but DM. With most stuff being left up to the discretion of the players and the ST it tends to scare people off. If I wasn't incredibly busy I would definitely be interested in a game of good ole Mage but time is not something I have a lot of lol.

Is this the same version of the game that released with Vampire the Masquerade?

To be fair, I've not looked that closely at Awakening - but my understanding is that the background world / metaphysics / storyline is quite different than Ascension . Hence my preference for Ascension ; I like the world setting. Am I mistaken in that?

Well, it's the 3rd version of the game that released with Vampire the Masquerade - and it underwent some heavy revisions, even in the story meta-plot, between updates.

I love that version. What day and time would this game happen? I'd be interested.

LOL - I've only just gone from "Hey, I really want to find a group" to "Maybe I'll have to run a group, if I can't find one and I really want to play MtA" :) I'm nowhere near setting up everything I think I'd need to run it - setting up a campaign environment, etc. That said - I'm not adverse to setting up a game, if you can accept that it might not "go live" for a few weeks? For my personal schedule, alternate weekends, preferably evenings in EDT (GMT -5) Fridays or Saturdays would work best for me. Maybe a couple of "one shots" to get our feet wet? That could be set up faster.

Definiteltly interested. Very familiar with oWoD. Have not run mage though, i run Werewolf and Vampire oWoD, i have played Mage, would liek to play again. Not sure I could run it though...

I've never played ascension but I do own and have read the book, love awakening though. And you are correct in that the lore of ascension is very different than awakening, if your still looking for players I'd love to join, as long as you don't mind a new player.

Old and New Mage are not connected.. it is not a revision and it is not an update.. Ascension is Old World.. Awakening is New World.. Awakening is getting a 2nd edition soon..
