Hello      Welcome to Acend, I am Noble Lavender or Mitch if you prefer my real name. I am a DM with 7 years of experience and a player with more then 9 years of experience. After I have learned how roll20 works with 6 years of experience on the site, during which I spent 4 years running my own Wildemount homebrew campaign which completed last year level 1 to level 20, I wanted to try my hand at making my own actual homebrew world with all of the homebrew content I've made over the years.   Game Bio     It has been 25 years since magic has returned to Acend, 25 years of recovery after around 300 years of fighting for survival without the divine nor arcane, and 10 years since the last Acend Adventurers Race, a race that became infamous over its death count and brutal survival trials that pit people against each other and against nature, with a large prize of gold, fame, and magic waiting at the finish line. The race once again returns and once again adventurers, daredevils, and the desperate gather to partake in this life changing event hoping to be the group that successfully completes the race first.     What are the primary themes of this campaign           My main focus for this game is to run a closed adventure game with survival and exploration elements, with the players facing wilderness, their rivals, other race participants, and a villain who seeks to use the race for their own nefarious plans. Overall this game is set to be a good introduction for the setting and I wish to eventually turn it into a module for my own uses. What inspired me to make this game was the lack of race themed games on roll20 and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run.      The setting itself is a proto-high magic campaign with many mages but only few ever get the ability and skill to cast spells beyond 5th level, with organized religions becoming powerhouses in both military power and influence, resulting in them being stuck in a cold war between themselves and the few nations that remain outside of their spheres.      This games is pay-to-play for $10 USD weekly via Paypal per player and per session (with session zero and session one being free); however payment is flexible and changed for each individual. Within this game the following things can be expected by players. Players backstories matter and will have effects on the campaign. All features from Roll20 Pro subscription will be made available and used within the game. Custom homebrew available to the players in game, with custom monsters and npcs to interact with. Long running game with a focus on story and interparty connections. Communication between me and my players, with a discord server and discord DM access for all players.   Acend Adventurers Race Date/Timezone:   Sunday  – 6:15 pm PST / 7:15 pm Mountain / 8:15 pm CST / 9:15 pm EST Frequency:   Weekly Game Start:  February 25th Sunday  Communication Method:  Discord Leveling up:  Milestone  – Level 2 to level 15 Seats available:   2 total slots  – Game is 4 to 5 players Listing Link: :   Acend Adventurer's Race - LF 1-2 players, LGBTQ+ welcome, game details in description LFG | Roll20: Online virtual tabletop   I'm available for questions in both my roll20 DMs and within the Listing Discussions for the game in Q&A.
