Edited 1710343434
EDIT: FOUND DM. Game : D&D 5e Group preferred : Online - Discord for Voice, Roll20 or FoundryVTT for Playing Experience : Around 5+ years for all of us Location/Timezone : Mostly EDT, One Canadian Central Availability : Thursday evenings - after 9PM EDT/EST Preferred role : Players Game style : Group of 5 friends seeking a heavy role play to combat (60/40) Fantasy High inspired game. Preferably set in College because we're all adults and I think we've already had a fair share of high school trauma. We're ultimately looking to just have a good fun, chill time! We are ideally looking for a Free game but if the perfect DM comes along we are able to afford $10/person for each games. Get to know us : Rhotic/Jam : I love role playing, I love combat, I love dungeon delving, I love teasing puzzles! Honestly I just want the ability to hang out with a group of nerds around my age (Late 20s to 30's) and escape from our worldly troubles, boring jobs, and the distress of being an adult to have a good time fighting monsters, flirting with NPCs/PCs (with consent, of course) and looting ancient forgotten malls after slaying a big, ole cube of jelly. I'm an avid note taker and bring the good vibes, I do my best to pay attention to details while exploring the world we're in. Big team player, too. I generally play Clerics or Druids as I prefer playing healer types. However I am interested in trying out Sorcerer combo with another player. BrightVenture/Miah : I enjoy a colorful world that feels like I'm apart of and have an effect on it. I love semi rule-of-cool games, mostly sticking to the rules but with some leeway for badass things to happen. I love, love, love an active plot too! I like custom loot and homebrew, something that helps the players besides a new weapon - something that can evolve with the PCs while they're getting stronger. I really like BIG monster fights akin to Shadow of the Colossus type combats, a sense a danger but nothing too dire. And over all, I want the DM to have fun too. I generally play "Big Dumb Tanks" that like to help, so if you need someone to soak up the damage before dishing it out, I'm your man. I'm flip-flopping between Warlock or Cleric at the moment. JcRockOut/Jeremy : Down for anything. I build my characters around the environment and players. Enjoy Sorcerer the most. I will 100% romance any male character if they are available. Other than that I go with the flow and have good laughs. Lyingisbad/Riley : Hi! I love a good story fueled by multiple threads of intrigue. Throw me a good mystery or some unanswered questions need answering and I will have a wonderful time! I also enjoy an interactive world I can just lose myself in. Besides that, I’m a very go with the flow type of person. Combat, social situations, secret plots, puzzles, it’s all is wonderful. I’m a very big believer that everyone should be having fun, DM included. We’re all here to enjoy each others company, and I do my best to help facilitate that. Character wise, I’ve always had a soft spot for druids and warlocks. I love less conventional casters and using their skills to help solve situations. I’d love to play a Druid, I can already imagine the horticulture horrors that will happen, however I am down to fit any role if necessary! Rage (Just Rage) : Greetings, I am a simple, Canadian Dude with simple wants... I love me some combat, baby~ A good combat session once in while is awesome for me but sometimes I do enjoy is social aspects and interactions with characters, friendly, hostile or impartial. I'll try and do what I can within the limits of the game to add rather than detract from the quality of the experience. Lastly, I'd like to know the content and materials used in the game - Nothing extreme like I have to know absolutely everything but just a heads up if we are using home-built martial, official books, or some other products prior to the game getting completely situated. Characters Idea: Melee, Big Hit Die, Strength-Focus... Absolute Meatheads with the occasional wonky and wacky thing added if I really, really want it. Personalities are often weird as I just come up with whatever. If you need some deep and dark, I gotchu. If you need some light and wholesome, I gotchu. If you need some... weird?, I gotchu. Welp, there you have it - that's the lot of us. Hopefully you had a fun time reading through our little blurbs and if you're interested in running a Fantasy High inspired game please hit me up. I am Jam, I am leading the search in finding a DM for us so please feel free to PM! Thank you for your time and I hope you have a great day!
Hello! I'm an experienced DM and player who just retired from the day job and I'm looking to find an online group to regularly DM for. Reading through your descriptions I think we would mesh well, but would you be willing to start with a one-shot just to see how we gel, before committing to something longer term? I have a pro subscription and can share a vast amount of the source material in D&D beyond as I use it in conjunction with Roll20 for my games. I don't ask for payment or any commitment from my players other than to show up, respect everyone and work towards everyone in the group having fun. I am in mountain time zone and as I'm retired, pretty flexible on session times. If this sounds like something you would be interested in trying, I have a game ready https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/394834/troll-trouble . If that works out well, and we all seem to play well together we can have a session zero to see what the group would like to do next.
Just for clarity! When you say 'preferably set in college' are you meaning you wanting a game where the adventure is the characters going to a fantasy college and attending classes, ect?
