**CURRENTLY IN TALKS WITH A DUNGEON MASTER, MESSAGE WILL BE REMOVED IF THE GLOVE DOES NOT FIT** Good day! Regardless of your interest, thank you so much for
stopping by! Wishing you and your (future / existing) group the best
whether we happen to be fortunate enough to join or not! Both myself and
a dear friend are hoping to be integrated into a fun group for a fresh
run of ( in order of interest ) Odyssey of the Dragonlords , Raiders of the Serpent Sea or a lovingly crafted Homebrew world to joyfully explore, influence and experience together. The Basics Medium : Roll20 or Foundry (Map) & Discord (Voice) Language : Exclusively English Time-zone : Central Standard Time Time : Starting anywhere between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., ideally lasting around 3 hours a session Days : Any day between Monday and Thursday Preferred Genre (s): Outside of the two third-party modules or a homebrew game, no particular preference! Feel free to pitch your ideas! Type of Game : [✓] Sandbox, [X] Railroad or [✓] Mix Paid or Free : [✓] Paid*, [✓] Free * For the right Dungeon Master and group, we have a budget of (thereabouts) $15.00 a person per session, possibly a little more. Campaign Length* : [✓] Short Term, [✓] Long Term or [✓] One-Shot * We
actually do want a long term game, but it might be best to start with
something short and sweet so you can determine if we are the right fit
for you and vice versa without any long term commitments. Consider the
check marks on Short Term or One-shot an understanding you might want a
trial period that is easy to end on amiable terms if we do not mesh well
together. A Little About Our Group Myself Experience :
I was first introduced to the hobby by the then boyfriend now husband
back in high school. My first foray into dungeon delving and roleplay
was with third edition D&D (specifically 3.5), and I have carried a
fervent passion for collaborative storytelling ever since. While the
bulk of my experience is with 3.5e and Pathfinder 1e, I have a very good
grasp of 5th Edition rules outside of very niche mechanics that just do
not come up often in my groups. Style : I love
how creative some people are, and nothing makes me happier than doing my
part to help others accomplish their goals and pull off extraordinary
feats that we can all reminiscence fondly over years later. I am a
support player through and through, whether that is playing the token
healer, the buffer, the de-buffer, the damage sponge or any combination
thereof. While I do consider myself tactically minded, I do lean more
towards basing my decisions on roleplay appropriate responses, even in
combat. While I am always willing to bring something to a party that is
needed, such as a non-support blaster, I am not particularly great at
those roles. Partially because my dice are cursed and that may or may
not be contagious; partially because I do not particularly care about
the number aspect of this game. Seeing huge critical hits from my dice
does not get me as pumped for a game as witnessing the party growing
together through story beats and inter-party roleplay. Providing bless
to a player and that contribution turning a miss into a clutch hit to
finish off the monster, then sitting back as a player describes the epic
way they vanquish our adversary, is much more my speed. This does not
mean I do not enjoy combat! Combat and exploration are both engaging
aspects of the game. I would say my ideal ratio would have roleplay as
High, combat and exploration as Medium and puzzles as Low. Sometimes the
numbers will be skewed by decisions and story beats, and that is
absolutely fine by me. Comfort Zones : As an
adult, I feel that I have a pretty good tolerance for descriptions of
gore, darker elements and uncomfortable topics. That said, I would be a
poor fit for a game that gets into vivid descriptions of what would be
much more tasteful as a fade to black or any mentions of (S) Assault . I think there are other ways to get me and my characters to hate a particular person or group without going in that direction. Wishes :
I am a firm believer in a session zero or at least a nice meet and
greet before we officially begin, both for your benefit as well as ours.
We do not want to waste your time if we are not the right fit for you,
because your enjoyment is just as important as ours. That said, there
are some things that I would like to have in a game, but can definitely
live without. Consider these as a wish-list, but not a deal breaker if
you do not allow some or all of the following at your table. ♥ Romance: I
am a hopeless romantic. Perhaps it is because my own marriage is lovely
and happy, so if I make a character that is receptive to romance.. I
would love for them to find their forever person too. Consider this as a
hope that player and player slow burns or tasteful courting of an NPC
is not outright barred. The comfort of the other players and any
potential Dungeon Master is absolutely more important, so it is fine if
this type of relationship is omitted. You can, after all, have a very
fulfilling character arc by building a strong friendship or rivalry. As
mentioned above in my comfort zones, I am not interested in typing out
or vocalizing what happens once the door closes. ♥ Character Creation: ♡ Homebrew: If
a potential Dungeon Master has a curated list of approved and balanced
homebrew content, I would love the opportunity to explore it. There are a
few homebrew content creators that I use in my own games that I would
love to play with as a player, but it is not necessary. The Subclasses
from both Odyssey and Raiders interest me greatly, and if I could get
into one of those games, I would be tickled pink to explore those
options on top of official content. ♡ Stat Generation: I
am notoriously awful with rolling for stats. We are talking less than
10 across the board. There are a few group based rolling strategies that
I have found to be really fun that I would be happy to see, such as
everyone rolling a set and the top two being options for a custom stat
array. I will always advocate for ways for everyone to feel like they
are on the same playing field, so point buy or standard array always
have my vote! It would be nice to have a slightly higher point buy total
or heroic standard array for the Multiple Ability Dependency (M.A.D)
classes. Regardless, if it is live by the dice, die by the dice, I would
like to ask that if you roll way below standard array that you be
allowed to take standard array or get bumped up a little to compensate
bad luck. Must Haves :
I think it is reasonable to be very upfront about what it is that I
want out of a game. Consider the following as a list of things really
important to my enjoyment and the lack thereof as a clear indication
that I might not be the right player for you. ♥ Creative Freedom / Re-flavoring :
I absolutely love taking existing features, attacks and spells and
having them be very unique to my character without touching the mechanics .
Whether this is re-flavoring a Firebolt to being a acorn bomb I pull
out and light from my component pouch or having my arcane spell focus be
a magical paint brush that I use to "illustrate" effects (cast spells)
onto the battlefield. I want to have some agency when I see that Natural
20 or Natural 1 on an attack, and be allowed to give a short
description on how and why I succeeded / failed. It is not my intention
to be a constant distraction in battles or slow down the pacing, but
simply rolling and moving my token will not keep me engaged in fights
and I will zone out. This is important for any Dungeon Master to know,
especially if any potentials reading this dislike spending more time on turns than strictly necessary. Koopaiii Experience : I am both an experienced player and run around with my own group over the weekend! Yep. Style :
I am an extremely versatile player that can fill almost any role and I
do my damndest to make sure other people are having fun! I would say
what I bring to the table are engaging characters that can be slot right
into nearly any kind of team; as well as consistency. (unless we're
just derping or testing a system and all bringing in goofs.) I would say
my ideal ratios would be 40% Roleplay, 40% Combat, 10% Puzzle and 10%
Shenanigans. Comfort Zones : Typical stuff that
most normal people do not want to be exposed to. Do not want to be
running around with any Murder Hobos or a Dungeon Master that is okay
with folks going around destroying their world and NPCs in depraved ways
that point towards a desperate need for a therapist. Wishes : Don't need it , but definitely a "fingers crossed on Christmas morning" vibe. ♥ Character Creation: ♡ Homebrew: I
got my eye on some content in Valda's Spire of Secrets (Have the PDF to
share to any potential DM that might be unfamiliar), seems fun! Would
love to bring the Craftsman class into Odyssey to forge a weapon of
legend, etc., etc. Possibly the eye candy that is Path of the Provoked
from Raiders.. ♡ Level 1 Feat : Expect the No, hope for the Yes. Can't hurt to ask. ♡ Stat Generation : Either Rolling or Heroic Stat Array would be heckin' lovely. ♥ Play by Post :
I know it is not everyone's cup of tea, but I love writing up the
inbetween and getting into the heavy details of conversations and events
that are glanced over for the sake of pacing and time restraints. This
would be *in addition to* the live sessions, not in place of. Must Haves : I'm a simple guy with simple needs. Looking for a good story with characters that can learn, grow and
develop to whatever the story is. Whether that's rising to become
mythical heroes of legend, more hardened and cautious adventurers, etc.,
etc. ♥ No Wargaming : Difficult
encounters are well and good, but if a random mindless ooze runs around
me to strategically attack the back-line because "Wizards do magic" I'm
screeching and callin' shenanigans. ♥ Freedom of Choice :
I think the right DM for me will allow the group to have fun in game
without full out railroading us. Keep the game flowing, absolutely,
pacing is important, but so too should our choices be. Not here to play
out a script in someone's novel. ♥ Communication :
Open channels between players and Dungeon Master to settle up any
disagreements like adults. None of this punish now and deflect later
business; or alternatively acting a fool in session instead of just
talking it out afterwards. Availability :
The only time frame that works for a member of our duo is mornings, due
to work schedule. We are both very consistent and punctual players and
rarely miss games. We will try to give as much notice as we are able
baring emergencies! Roster : We are coming in as a party
of two, and enjoy meeting new people! Both of us feel an appropriate
group size for us would be between four to six players with the two of
us included. Anymore than that can get a little hectic, and we want to
be able to experience everyone shine without interfering with pacing or
stepping on anyone's toes. We are LGBT+ friendly allies. Contacting us This topic is posted on various platforms. If
you would like to proceed with meeting us, please either message me
on roll20 (Preferred Method / More Active) or D&D Beyond . I will try and check regularly through out the day to get
back to you as soon as possible. I am also searching for two games for two separate groups, this one and a full 5-man with different times and needs. To avoid confusion on my end, I would appreciate it if you would please put Morning Game in the title or somewhere in your message. Thank you again for your time, and I hope you have a superb rest of your day.
