Hey, I am looking for a long term group for Sat 7pm+ EST, or later,  for D&D 5e, FREE GAMES ONLY. I have been playing D&D since I was in 7th grade. I like to play for FUN, I am not a min/maxer but I try to do my best with what I got. Depending on the role, I do not mind filling a gap in the party. I am just not a Fighter/Barb/Cleric guy. I like races with special abilities or magic for flavor, like: Eladrin - just an elf who can teleport, Warforged - a metal man who does not need to breathe, Thri-Kreen - a telepathic bug, and so on. For as long as I have played, I have played standard Human, Dwarf, Elf, Half-Elf, and Gnome all I ever care to. It takes me a few games to warm up, after all getting used to new people, new DM, new game styles, and trying to figure out who my character is. I do not mind joining a game already in progress but nothing past 5 and if possible at all I would like to start at level 1. Growing into my character as it levels. I know Roll20 and D&DBeyond so whatever you use is fine by me. As for what I am looking for in a game. I do not care what setting the game takes place in so any realm or homebrewed world is fine by me. I like ForgottenRealms the best but I am in no way an expert on it or have all the details of factions/guilds/cities memorized. So a heavy lore-reliant game is not great for me. I have done none of the modules for 5e, so the content in them is completely new to me. A game that does not use UA is a must. UA is so broken and OP. As I said, I am not a min/maxer, so trying to do 500 damage with a spell/sneak attack/ability combo/with a character who has 4 multi-classes is just not for me. I also hate backseat drivers. If I have a +6 to hit with Fire Bolt and a +5 to hit with a crossbow, I do not need someone spazzing out that I choose to use the crossbow. It's one point. I like moderate story-driven/character-driven role-play. Everyone RPing in a tavern while we wait for a contact or something is fine and good. Still, one person wanting to RP for 30+ mins shopping and trying on different cloaks, while the rest of the party sits there ready to go, to me, is as rude and nonparty-driven as trying to split the party and wanting to go off alone and do a quest solo. It comes down to the same thing, monopolizing the DM. It does not advance the story, character, game, or anything, it just kills all of our time. I play D&D to have fun and roll dice, not to just talk for hours. Well, I have given you all the information I can think of. If you have any questions feel free to reply or send me a msg. I hope I sound like someone you might like in your game.
