DND 5e 'Tutorial’ Style Short Campaign for New Players [Fridays, 5pm Pacific]

March 14 2024 UPDATE: All player slots have been filled. Newbie Friendly! This one is specifically for people who are either: first-time players, are very new to D&D or would just prefer a slower-paced D&D game.  Quick Facts: When: Session 0/Character creation will be Friday March 22, around 17:00/5pm California/Pacific time. Duration: A short campaign of about 4-6 sessions. Each session will be around 2 hours, again, depending on player availability.  Starting Level:  Level 1. Number of Players: 3 minimum, 5 maximum. (2 slots currently open). Just so ya know: This game was originally posted on the "Where's My Dice" DND server for players 30 years old and up where " The goal is not to exclude the younger crowd, but to consolidate the older crowd..." Adventure Summary: A group of adventures undertake a quest to explore a recently discovered site of ancient ruins within the mountain. What to Expect in this mini campaign:  Basics, basics, basics. The majority of this campaign will be confined to the materials in the Player's Handbook and Dungeon Master's Guide to introduce the foundations of the game to new players. The game paused with questions about the rules and how to work Roll20 as we practice playing together. Roleplay and combat at a general 70/30 ratio with one or two puzzles or riddles. I'm also happy to remind players of what their options are at any given time upon request. A party composed of ‘team players’ (no Evil/Edgelord/Lone-wolf characters for this, please) . PCs will already know one another at the start of session 1. "Theater of the Mind" with maps/tokens only used during combat. Game Tech: Microphone and Discord (for audio) Roll20 for the rest. DM Experience: Intermediate. I’ve run 1 oneshot and 6 short campaigns; 3 of which were specifically to teach first-timers how to play D&D 5e. I don't claim to know it all, but enough to get new players going. How to join: Apply to join us via a reply to this post or direct message.
